While I should Have probably asked the prices and Quality of what I purchased before I bought them,I wont make that mistake againHaving called in last week I purchased 3 coffees that tasted like frothy water with a hint of flavoring from the cheapest coffee on the planet . I also bought a Scone that was over warmed in a microwave and was tough as a rock and two small potions of carrot cake ,which my friends said was eatable but not grate ,when the bill came to an extortionate £16.20 I would have thought the coffee would have been quality percolated, and food of a high quality .I can assure you its not.

Very rude staff for starters and food as bland as could be, didn't even help open doors on way out and so struggled with wheelchair. Won't be returning. E++

August 2020 Covid reviewThere's hand sanitiser on the way in but that was about it, not much in the way of social distancing measures. Service was friendly and the brunch breakfast was decent. No WiFi. I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could.Nice big popular place. Lots of room inside and 6 tables out front. Loads of choice. I went for eggs bacon and sausage for 3.50. it was a bit greasy though. No WiFi. I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could.

The best English breakfast in town, served all day long. The bonus is that every part of the dish is cooked perfectly! I highly recommend!!!!

I really enjoyed my Frenchgate Grill and a nice mug of coffee, nice friendly staff and good service, I will return for more
