GOOD DOG Training with Laura Mars

Laura is nothing short of a miracle worker! We struggled as our cute tiny puppy found her feet and terrorised us and our space. One to one training was the only remaining option! after one session we understood the dog we had bought home better and in turn her us! With Lauras guidance we completed the initial puppy training and then progressed into the adolescent course. Every week Molly got better and so did we! We are now the best team and she has grown into the dog we dreamt about! She truly is “our girl”. None of this would have happened had we not sought Lauras help. Just had my first session with Laura and I wish id done it years ago - in one session Laura explained so much to me about what is going on for my dog in a clear and understandable way - it all made so much sense. She gave me strategies and tips which I really feel will help me and my dog - although we have a long way to go I think i really can teach an old dog new tricks!Thank you Laura :)

I contacted Laura for advice on my 6 month old Labrador. We had an initial discovery call and she made me feel instantly at ease and gave me hope. Our zoom consultation was for 90 minutes and she gave me so much information and helpful exercises to try before our face to face session next week. What I found really useful was that the session was recorded so that you can then play it back to refresh your memory. After speaking with Laura I have hope that all will be ok and can’t wait to get started

Laura takes the time to listen to you, establish what the issues are with your dog and offers practical, easy drills and exercises to help you fix them.The sessions are great. She remains cheerful throughout and always keeps the atmosphere informal, supportive and positive - even when she’s got a terrier jumping all over her.While some instructors can be patronising (to both owners and dogs), she explains the reasoning behind each training exercise and always unpicks problems and situations in an inclusive way.By helping you to understand what makes your dog tick, Laura involves you in the process of establishing better behaviour.Since working with Good Dog, we have already started to see improvements in our adolescent terrier and we’ll be back for more sessions soon.

Duke improved so much his recall is good now and walking on lead is so much better.I learnt a lot as well as Duke and enjoyed all the sessions we had . Laura did a great job thank you.

We've recently just had some fun, very informative and productive classes with Laura to help train our puppy who had been expressing some challenging behaviours. Laura was excellent at describing how her mind (our puppy's) was working and what best fun ways we could have moving forward and how to channel her energy into a positive way.Laura's approach was tailored to our individual needs with informative sheets to follow up at home. Which have been a valuable reference.I would definitely recommend Laura for all your dog training requirements

As a first time dog owner Laura helped guide me and my family through the struggles of puppyhood and when Elsie developed some fear reactivity Laura provided valuable knowledge and insight that helped us understand her behaviour and tools that have reduced the reactivity to almost nothing. Walks are no longer stressful, and I now receive compliments constantly on how well trained my dog is! She has gone on to work as an assistance dog, handling demanding environments and tasks with confidence. All thanks to the brilliant start Laura gave us :)
