Hulton Care Home

My sister and I had a viewing last week at this lovely home, we were very impressed with the cleanliness, the rooms how homely it felt . The staff very friendly and informative and lots of activities to join in with if you so wish.Just waiting for an available room for our lovely Dad.

My mum is in Hulton care for palliative care . The care and staff are amazing I’m very happy . I never wanted my mum to go into care and struggled to agree at first but it’s the best decision made . I feel sorry for the wonderful staff as there on minimum wage work long hours 12 hour shift definitely under valued and under pair for the work they do . The home has just been taken over by new owners and I hope they continue to carry the great CQC reports they have received in the past inspections as I did look at when choosing a home . Thank you to the staff and keep up the good work you do (Angel’s ).

I found the attitude of the manager and the nurse appauling. Everything was just to much trouble and they continously conplained about the level of care my mother required. THEY left the need to change to a different care home / package to late. This resulted in my mother's swollen legs becoming infected which was ignored by the home and GP. The infection progressed till she was bandaged, rushed to hospital and died of sepsis five days later. This coupled with out of date care plans and leaving her to sit in her urine leaves me with nothing but contempt for this facility.

My father is currently in residence and unfortunately will not be for long. The care my dad is getting is excellent and the staff are making his final days as comfortable as can be. I can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful job they are doing during this very difficult time.
