Such a magnificent and incredible building to visit and listen to great music. I also had the privilege to perform here with my school orchestra and was blown away by the acoustics and environment. Hope I can be back here again soon!

A historic Wren designed building. Cheaper and good views compared to the church behind. Amazing painted ceiling. Okay entry price.

Beautifully, organized, I have enjoyed the music and art.It was a great experience of listening to Afghan music but the original music and performance has a lot of differences in tone and speed .it would be best to present something meaningful to audience and do some rehearsal. I feel the difference between musicians and the singer in Afghan music . I mean to say is syncing issue. Thanks

Best way to see the Sheldonian is probably to experience a musical concert to take in the building's unique features and acoustics. If you're in the upper gallery, the sound waves come straight up from the orchestra below at 343 metres per second meaning slightly less time delay than you get in the Royal Albert Hall. Concerts by local schools and the university itself are frequent and tickets are reasonably priced at less than £10 - so effectively below cost. As you can see here, photos are permitted.

Beautiful venue, great acoustics, attended a concert there recently, a great vibe.Although chairs were comfortable, they were wobbly so not great support. It's a shame you couldn't get refreshments there though during the interval.

We attended the 'candlelight consert'. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will return if it's on again.

Visited the theatre on our Oxford trip and absolutely loved it. The entrance was 3£ for students (apparently, you can be a student in an entirely different country and still get a discount). The ceiling art was beautiful and the meaning behind the painting gives is even more allure and depth. The best part is the views you can see from the tower up top. Being in the centre of Oxford, the views are literally like postcards. Also I should add that this place had the cleanest toilets I have ever seen in my entire life. It was as clean as my toilet at home.

A fascinating place where basically no plays are performed. It is often closed for events so go when you can. The most interesting part is the roof construction which can be clearly seen and the splendid views from the cupola.
