Relaxing Japanese restaurant with a nice view over Birmingham city center. Affordable prices and reasonable selection of dishes. Excellent for the groups of four to six people, especially having your guests to take to.

Stunning sky views across Birmingham. Each dish arrived with perfect timing (dishes served to share as opposed to three courses) and each better than the previous. Sake cocktails and the sunset made our visit to Rofuto the best night we've had in Birmingham for a long time.

This is the second time that I have visited Rofuto and they have been consistent, both times have been excellent! The restaurant serves Japanese fusion food alongside outstanding views of the city.We went for a selection of dim sum, unfortunately I did not take a picture as I was incredibly hungry and scoffed the lot before I remembered. The dish did take a while to arrive apparently, I didn't notice because of the wonderful ambience and lovely company. But our patience was rewarded with some complimentary sake which was a lovely touch and something I would never turn down. The dim sum was great especially the truffled sour cream that accompanied the spring roll.For the main course I went for the duck dish. Along side that we ordered a side of kimchi and the best egg fried rice I have ever had. The kimchi worked really well with fattiness of duck cutting through it's richness.

I rarely give bad reviews but this place was comparable with supermarket sushi, or even with the sushi at my uni's cafe. Ordered the Rofuto platter (fish was not fresh, no high end place would serve crab stick sushi), tempura prawn (too much flour), chicken yakitori teriyaki (way too sweet) and dim sum platter (nothing impressive). My boyfriend was not happy at all. We went with an open mind but was severely dissapointed. I don't know know how it got 4.2 stars. With the same money, we could have gone to a mom and pops place and had better food. The view is gorgeous, however. That's the only positive note. Go for the view, not the food.

Excellent sushi. The japanese fish and chips was brilliant. The mains were ok, the chicken was a bit salty and tough. Worth trying out the dessert menu. The hotel will validate your parking, so you dont have to pay. Ask at the hotel reception and have the receipt to hand. Upscale place but the price was reasonable. Overall a great meal, great atmosphere, lovely views of birmingham and great service. Also nice large bar area if you are just going there for drinks.

Good views from this restaurant, therefore above average prices. Stunning décor and atmosphere inside. Food is very nicely presented, with excellent service, however taste is very average, and nothing spectacular. The restaurant offers free parking.

Only went for drinks. Good look on the inside with funky purple lighting, unsure of beam focal point piece over the bar. Good views but only if you eat as the bar tables are in the middle nowhere near the windows. Drinks as you probably expect aren't cheap, paid £38.50 for a £35 bottle of ok prosecco, no idea what the extra £3.50 was for any child can open a bottle of prosecco. Also can't find a drinks menu online. The food does look good though from what I could see bring brought out. Smoking area looks more like a prison.

The food at Rofuto is always exceptional, after several visits the food has been consistently good, the food is prepared and cooked very well, the sushi and maki is very good, particularly the seared black cod. The dishes are all reasonably side and make for a great sharing experience if you want.The service is usually very good, sometimes a little slow on occasion but the food definitely makes up for it when it arrives.Only downside is the rather large drinks menu with a poor selection of Red Wine, with a large range of drinks include Japanese wines, Champagnes and quite a few white wines it seems quite a disappointment there is only a small selection of red wine, however the few they have are quite nice.
