My Husband has shopped at Demain1953 for over 20 Years now, and we have always found the clothing in there to be of fantastic quality and just what he is looking for. I have been going to Jonathan for the last few years, and he has never let me down. When I first went to him, I was buying 'off the peg' suits from the rather cheap and cheerful suit retailers of Reading, who normally didn't give two hoots as to how well the the suit fitted! However, with Jonathan, he has extensive knowledge of the industry, gives great customer care and is a nice chap too! He is always prepared to go the extra mile and give the best price possible. I would highly recommend him!

I do not pretend to be a suit expert, but when shopping for clothes, I am often disappointed in the quality and service. Not here!The owner keeps a well sourced collection of beautiful suits, to back it up he has 3 generations of knowledge and a long career of experience. It’s fair to say he has legitimate expertise, an interesting and cultured chap too.He made the time to share his insight into the craft and style of the various garments and organically helped me find the perfect suit, even though I didn’t quite know what I wanted if I’m honest. Alterations were made within 2 weeks at a fair price.The prices here are good value considering the quality of the clothes alone, when you consider the service on offer it makes the deal that much sweeter. I ended up spending more than I originally wanted on my suit, but I don’t regret a penny, as I have now got ‘more’ suit that I thought was possible, and it will give me joy for years to come. The term ‘buy cheap buy twice’ comes to mind. Even if you haven’t considered buying at this ‘level’ in the market, have a look, there’s usually some deals to be had.If you appreciate the idea of dealing with a small independent business, one to one, this is a chance to do so, a chance that is sadly becoming rarer in all industries. It was a pleasure. I’d recommend Demain to anyone who needs a suit for an occasion, and if I could afford to I’d probably get one for every day of the week too!Many thanks.

Jonathan, the store owner and assistant was an impeccable help today helping my fiance choose a new suit for a wedding we were going to attend. He came in with a specific style, the same style that he had been wearing for numerous years and Jonathan helped him explore a different line of tailoring with a vast variety of options, with Jonathan's insight and knowledge he brought one that looked as if it was specifically made for him . Jonathan's knowledge of suits, and tailoring is second to none. Jonathan has been in Gentlemen's fashion for decades and it shows.

I went to visit Jonathon when looking for a prom suit a few weeks ago at the last minute, I was completely lost and wasnt really sure what I was looking for. Just purchased two great quality suits from Demain. Jonathan knows his vast stock incredibly well and was able to find the perfect thing in minutes. trousers were altered and everything ready in under a week. If you could do without the slog around every store in town only to settle on something that isn't right try Demain instead.
