My Dad has been staying at the Magnolia for 1 week now and we are so happy with the care , i was very anxious about my dad going into care, but my worries were soon gone when i saw how happy and well looked after my dad was. The team at The Magnolia are fantanstic, very kind and caring. The food looks lovely and the home and bedrooms are clean. Thank you to all at The Magnolia

Its a shame I have to write this report as my mother has used this care home a few times without a problem. However, the last time she stayed which was a few weeks ago we were shocked. My mum went in with no sores and came out with bad sores on her knee that required SPA nurses to visit and change on a weekly basis. My father complained to the Manager and she advised she would call him back later that day, that never happened it took the best part of 2 weeks. My mother's seizure medication wasn't given to her on numerous occasions. The excuse was my mother was asleep. This should have been given as soon as she woke up or they should have woken her up. She was severely dehydrated and since she's been home we're struggling to get her to eat. My father advises me that he has now received feedback and the carer on the night shift has been let go. Seems to me that staff need to go over procedures and protocol. Very upsetting for her family to think your mother has basically been left for long periods of time.

Amazing care. I can't thank the team enough and words would not be enough. I placed both my parents here for 4 weeks. They came back home singing praise but also looking better! Thank you to all the lovely carers.

I have visited the magnolia care home on many occasions. I can honestly say this is a home from home. The staffing team and residents are one big family and this shows through the care given by all the team…it’s refreshing to see such a caring and loving group of people.

Disappointing after care when family member was in here for 12 weeks lost 3 stone during stay really helpful on deaths door no one to help at all then when we called back and told not call here again as we wanted collect any belongings.Disgusting going to care commission to forward a complaint. Will call on Monday to speak to Duty officer Mandy Nash as not on call over the weekend call back the following week.

New owners, management! Call yourself caring people? Well this is for you, absolutely the most uncaring human beings on this earth. Basically my dad wasn’t good enough to stay and literally had 4 weeks to get out in January amidst high levels of the pandemic. Dad was very unsettled and stressed by what you vultures did and sadly he was too weak to cope with it and passed away in April. I will always blame you for that! I would urge anybody to avoid this place!

Where to start what a shambles as my uncle has been in here for 3 months and nearly at deaths door as not feeding and looking after him.Your receptionist is a real delight not on the phone asked us not to call again and why was that as I am bloodline relative of him so what does have to do with a friend of his not being related and got nothing to do with him shouldn't have any say about my Uncle but the receptionist has told The friend Rita that she makes the decisions well don't think never going to happen but your so but probably related to her.He will never step back in this place treated distusting. You need to change your receptionist as nepotism is not good. You should provide a high standard of care not leave people to die.

Would give no stars if possible! My mum wasn’t given her medication on a number of occasions excuse given was she was asleep! When she arrived home she had pressure sores on her knee!It took 3 days for her to pass urine because she was so dehydratedShe now doesn’t eat either!Make your own mind up about what that means!Would not recommend to anyone!

The only reason this is given a 1star is for Diana. Avoid this home at all costs if you want your relatives to be cared for properly. Absolutely appalling lack of care for residents wellbeing, even leaving some sat naked and in their own body waste for hours on end. Forgetting to feed residents with complex mental health difficulties and leaving food out of their reach. It seems nothing much has changed since the public case of elder abuse and neglect was raised with the management of this company. In response to your reply, you knew full well what was happening and this situation is ongoing. The staff knew full well what was happening when refusing to allow social services to perform a thorough safeguarding check and hiding details regarding the wellbeing of residents. CQC has finally found the home to inadequate and placed special measure orders on the staff and service. Appalling CQC inspection.
