What an amazing place. The staff are amazing, the management are amazing. My partner was airlifted to hospital and I cannot express how kind and welcoming the staff was, the walks and the hpuse it’s self where I had breakfast was stunning and very clean. Dru’s dogs were beautiful and played with my dogs…. We are coming back to this wonderful place when my partner is better

We stopped here after a wet muddy ride on the John Muir Way. When we arrived the lovely owner gave us a warm cabin he had spare that night so we could dry out instead of our little teeny tent. It was a lifesaver! Loved the place-lovely hot meals on offer within the lovely quirky dining room of the house. The prices were high but the food was really good so we accepted that with good grace! A really special place to stay with a friendly atmosphere.

What a beautiful campsite with incredible views. My partner and I stayed just for 1 night but could have stayed there a lot longer and was welcomed with open arms. The food was incredible, however a little bit expensive for our liking. The facilities were extremely clean. I also appreciated the female only bathroom they provided. The owner was there to assist with anything we needed. 100% would recommend and will be going back. We had freedom to park our van wherever depending on our needs. They have beautiful dogs that are very friendly and welcome others pets as well. Can not wait to return to this site.

We camped and already knew it would be very busy, thank heaven they're building more loos because no where near enough for all the new bell tents that are there, also not clean but it was a very busy weekend (cycling world champs) like I say, but staff we're super nice, great breakfast room for all campers, good service. Owner was a bit stressed but again very busy. Good train service in the next village straight into glasgow. Great views from your pitch. Would use the site again but next time I'll take my own tent as bell tents were £120 a night and just a airbed quilt, very basic but really all you need

An absolutely fantastic place to stay. Wonderfully accommodating host, a real mensch, who showed us the facilities, and made us feel instantly at home: me and my wife, our two kids (4 and 2) and our dog. The place is tranquil, amongst some beautiful hills, with lots of great walking and adventuring nearby. The facilities are plentiful and very well maintained and the food is fantastic.

Nothing else like it! Andrew welcomed us to the campsite, the site is beautifully kept, very dog friendly. We have been offered tea and coffee use of all facilities all out of the goodness of his heart. Warm welcoming place you can not fault

Disappointing Experience at the West Highland Way HotelDuring my recent stay at the West Highland Way Hotel, I had a highly disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, it became apparent that the hotel was not up to the expected standards. The first issue I encountered was the state of the facilities. To my dismay, several toilets were broken and out of order, leaving very limited options for guests. Additionally, the lack of hand wash facilities was not only unhygienic but also unacceptable in a hotel environment.Furthermore, an unpleasant problem I faced was the presence of foul odors throughout the property. The smell of feces was pervasive, leaving me uncomfortable and dissatisfied. It was disappointing to see that this issue had not been properly addressed by the staff. One of the most frustrating aspects of my stay was the deceptive behavior of the owner, Andrew. He repeatedly provided misinformation and lied about various matters, which greatly diminished my trust in the establishment. This lack of transparency and honesty is highly concerning, and it significantly impacted my overall experience.Considering the aforementioned issues, I strongly advise avoiding the West Highland Way Hotel. The lack of proper maintenance, unsanitary conditions, and dishonesty exhibited by the owner make this establishment far from desirable. There are several other accommodation options in the area that are likely to provide a more pleasant and enjoyable stay.I hope this review sheds light on my unfortunate experience and encourages necessary improvements at the West Highland Way Hotel, ensuring a more satisfactory stay for future guests.

Stayed for one night on this beautiful estate with great views on the surrounding nature. Family room had good beds and was clean. Breakfast was simple, but fine too. Owner was friendly. I imagine, having read the other reviews, that if the campsite is fully occupied it can become a bit crowded for the communal rooms, toilets and showers, but as a hotel guest you have your own, so then it does not matter.
