Lovely friendly welcome, very local feel. Val Houghton has years of experience and local knowledge. This company treat people special. If you have need of an estate agent or rental agent, look no further. I have been a tenant in one of their properties for 6 years and this is the best agency I have ever dealt with.

Recently ended a stress free 2 and a half year rental through Houghton Homes. Never had any issues from the get go. Both Val and Janet were very helpful and the one time I had an issue at the house (leaking radiator) they had a repair completed the same day. It was always easy to get hold of someone if needed whether via email, phone or just in the shop. If I was to move back I'd happily use this agency again. When trying to find a property in the area I found other agencies to be very unhelpful pitting you against 100s of other applicants with substandard properties at extortionate prices. Thankfully this was not the case with HH and I have since recommended them to others.Thanks for everything.

If you want to rent a substandard property, be threatened with eviction for reporting essential repairs, have an estate agents who makes up her own rules and is also a compulsive liar, you should definitely rent through Val Houghton. Maybe if Val spent less time gossiping with everyone who walks in her office, she'd be able to run her business in a professional and competent manner. I'd also suggest you don't tell her anything confidential as half of Atherton will know within 20 minutes. It's time to retire, Val!

Did not see house in Pennington I know they're selling

Despicable woman, very rude and unprofessional, compulsive liar and even belittles her staff (Janet) in front of people. Watch out if she's had a bad day because she will take it out on anyone who comes through the door. Would never use her again. Also the reviews from Kevin Lee and Tony Hampson should be ignored these two people are her friends and were asked by Val to leave good reviews due to the fact she is getting too many bad lately, i think it's time to retire Val.

Very rude and obnoxious, Val kept lying and then telling more lies to cover up the lies said before until finally caught out, that's when she turned rude i'm sure Val has early signs of dementia, wont ever be using these again and will also tell everyone about my experience.

Owner is rude tells blatant lies. Very unprofessional do not rent a property through these cowboys. Repairs not done for years water coming in my property. She has threatened to send me a section 21 eviction and take me to court for asking that my house gets repaired. Piss poor service. Shouldn't be in business.

Lovely 2 Ladies works there

Absolutely disgusting attitude and manner from so called staff and owner. Put houses up for rent/advertised which clearly aren't ready or they haven't got keys for. Promises to call back and never do. Then when you query it the owner speaks to you like something she has stepped in! Stay away if you want treating with respect!!!!
