Adams & Sons Removals & Storage

DON’T EVER USE. My 80 year old disabled parents booked the Adams removal service for this weekend. (26/07/21)We contacted them the Thursday before and everything appeared fine stating they would arrive for 8.30 Saturday morning as arranged. However, come Saturday Morning they called to say someone had phoned in sick and then that changed to a mix up with vans, ultimately they told us they couldn’t complete the removal that day. My parents had their buyers waiting outside, we managed to hire a Luton van and two of us spent about 12 hours moving my parents. In my experience don’t event consider this company, unreliable, untrustworthy and left us completely stranded.

Elderly parents booked a large van for removal from there property, Adams said they did not need to come to the property before moving as their large van would be adequate. On arrive my parents queried the size of the van and were told the large van was on another job. So when they couldn't get all the items in they said they said the only solution would be to unload at the new property and then come back for the rest of the items but needed payment up front for 10hrs which we did. This made my mum extremely upset but left us no choice but to pay and trust them to carry out their promise.The first load was unloaded by 4.30pm they left to return to the old property but when no one returned at 6pm we had to phone the buyers of the new property to see if they were still there. We were told that they had not returned.At this point they had worked from 8.30am to 4.30pm 7hrs but had been paid for 10. No communication with us to say why they had not returned to the old property to collect the remaining items, leaving my parents who are in there 80's upset and having to find a solution to remove the remaining items.If Adams had sent the original large van then this would not have happened everything would have fitted in resulting in less time and money. Complete disgrace leaving two elderly people distraught and upset. Moving is stressful and any age but their customer service is appalling, instead of admitting their failings they left us high and dry.Through out the day we tried to contact the firm but the landline was never answered we also left various messages but no one contact us to explain why they left early or why they didn't return. We will also be contacting trading standards to report this company for the horrific service we received.

Can't thank you enough, moved from Stoke on Trent to Scotland. Absolutely lovely lads and worked their behinds off, brilliant service throughout, would highly recommend and would definately use again.

Moved contents of large 5 bedroom house to new home; late getting keys & day very stressful. Adams worked efficiently, cleanly & quickly, loading/unloading 2 large fully packed vans, all while maintaining a cheery outlook & solving issues as they arose. Their friendly, calm disposition was much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend them to friends & family & would use them again ourselves. Adams provided excellent service & went above & beyond what we expected. Very highly recommended.
