Good area

Nice new build

I've been renting in one of those fancy buildings for 4 months and I have had nothing but problems here, can't choose my internet provider, nothing but BT available, can't have TV with BT as it would mean having a cable going from the entrance hall all the way to the living room to plug it onto the TV box or spending more money to get a mini connector, can't have Sky, as building supposedly Sky Ready but actually Sky say it isn't Sky Q ready but builders say it is... And this is without mentioning the car park issues, the fire door that had to be fixed, the appliances manuals that do not match the actual appliances, etc. All the time it's going back and forth between letting agent and builders and it takes forever for everything to be resolved. I've lived in new built in Spain and Argentina, and they were always well thought and practical, here it's good looking buildings but not thought for practical use. It's 2020 people, think before you design and build, as actual people will be living in your buildings.

After all the fuss about this new housing estate we took the kids over to have a look. (After tackling the crossing from northway estate ...quite a scary experience with a group of children!) Although still a building site a children's mini park has been installed. .and it is mini! On careful consideration it's not the safest of parks...it has a hidden drop that is easy to tumble over and is right beside one of the man made ponds. The ponds although could look lovely are full of building debris and nasty scum floating on the top, the park area has also turned into a young persons hangout with charred remains in the tower and broken glass from bottles littered throughout the pebbles...very sad! This could be a lovely area if treated properly and had a team to make sure it was clean and tidy! We had a walk along the path towards barton...which when finished will make it an easier walk or bicycle ride to barton! It was barriered off at points, but scattered along the way were exercise apperatus, bins, dog bins, viewing platforms, benches. It has a lovely grassy area which would make a lovely picnic area...if people are considerate with their rubbish and dog mess...I'm sure this will look lovely if looked after...not that I'd ever be able to afford to buy a property here!
