He also spent a lot of time with us upfront understanding who we are and what we wanted to express.He came up with an entirely unexpected but absolutely perfect design to fit our requirements. Taking inspiration from the walnut on the back of my Eames chair, my long standing love of oak, and the deep green of the Andes mountains - he coined the project name Forest Symphony - combining all three separate use cases together into one movement, one piece.The build quality and attention to detail was superb and far surpassed our expectations - his experience working with many different materials, in both carpentry and car body work, means he has a broad spectrum of techniques and tools to draw from.I would recommend him without hesitation.

When we bought our house, I loved pretty much everything about it apart from the kitchen. It was dated and dark and seemed to have been designed in a bygone era with no thought to storage or modern amenities. When we could finally afford to re-do it, we were 6 months pregnant and I did not want work being done in the house with a newborn. Sen entered the picture and assured me that he understood our design goals, budget constraints and very strict deadline. And he was a man of his word – my family (now bigger than we started work on the kitchen) can attest that our new kitchen is more than what we could have dreamed possible.We had approached a few of the well-known high street names but ultimately decided to go with Sen because he was willing to design bespoke cabinetry which maximised on the layout and size of our open-plan kitchen diner. The high street providers were using off-the-shelf solutions which would mean significantly more dead space, for example, in corners that they didn’t have a box for. Sen designed for and around these so every inch of space was utilised and storage solutions maximised.His collaborative style was respectful of our requirements and vision (like a very bold dark blue colour scheme) while always elevating the design with creative touches I now know to be characteristic of his impeccable craftsmanship and thoughtfulness. A few examples:I mentioned it would be great to be able to hide the microwave rather than using counter space for it. Next thing I know Sen had designed a microwave cabinet with a garage-style door opening upwards and tucking away above the microwave.Sen noticed I had a treasure trove of fridge magnets and thoughtfully suggested we incorporate a magnet wall into the new kitchen design – it is one of the most talked about features of our house whenever people visit.When designing, Sen ensured that all the carpentry had rounded edges where the baby could hit her head – it is something I would not even have considered to think of myself and is an aspect of our kitchen I am grateful for every day with a clumsy toddler and a crawling infant.Finally, what I appreciated most of all about Sen was his trustworthiness. I truly felt my home was in safe hands with him and never for a second had to wonder about security – he is a safe and hugely talented pair of hands and I would not hesitate to recommend him wholeheartedly. Indeed, I did – to my mum (who is also delighted with his work).
