Cutting things short if you have allergies to certain foods make sure to ask because the cafe cross contaminates their food…I was served a cake which shouldn't have nuts on it but did? I took it straight back to the workers and they couldn’t have been less sympathetic! They mix their cakes in the same stands no matter if people have allergies.I will not be eating in this cafe again after their careless attitude to food and cross contamination.Luckily I saw the nut before eating it!

Mum is a local and always brings us here when we visit from Cornwall. Nice setting and plenty of space. Good food and service. Always handy to browse the store before or after refreshesments.

Sad to leave a bad review as all the staff, except the manager I assume, are very friendly and attentive. It’s a “dog-friendly” cafe, where dogs are only allowed on the carpet, yet the manager approached our table very rudely about our dog eating a treat on the carpet. We didn’t leave any mess, so I don’t see why that was necessary. His rude demeanour might explain why they seem to have such a high staff turnover. Really disappointing as we visit here often but we won’t be returning after this.

Always get great meals and service. Very friendly. Only wish they would get some decent teapots that don't leak when you pour out your tea.

Great place to meet after a wander around all the good things and plants in the garden centre. Lovely cakes and good for lunches too.
