The Lunchbox at Ruby

Been for takeaway tonight and was disapointed as have been going there for over 2 years. We had a leaflet through the door today and saw the prices had gone up. We ordered and picked it up but found that the food was boosted up with green peppers and onions. Hardly any meat or prawns (5) in the chow mein. Not even a bamboo or water chestnut in the veges , the onion was cut to the size of bamboo shoots!! Don't know if they think people wouldn't notice!!! Won't be going back.

Ordered food online two weeks ago and was emailed to say they had received the order and to phone them if it didn't arrive within 45 minutes. After an hour it hadn't arrived so I called them. The lady told me they had just received my order (despite what the email said) and were about to start it. I cancelled and went to the chippy.Today, my wife ordered a meal and received a similar email to me (45 mins or ring). After an hour, the food had not arrived so she rang. She was told the food was out for delivery. It arrived 15 minutes later. The delivery driver was apologetic saying he had just been given the order. The chips were dark brown and looked and tasted burnt. The chicken balls were dark brown and very crispy (the chicken inside was very chewy). The meal looked like it had been cooked earlier and then flash fried to heat it up.The food and service here was very good, but not anymore. I will not be ordering anything again

Food is good but every time i order a delivery it is 30-50 mins late, when i ring up to ask about it im told its on the way, usualy hasnt even left until after it should have arrived!

Love the food here, tried others but keep coming back, curry is really good and love the mixed starter, can’t fault them

Always great, tasty and hot food. Delivery could be faster tho.

Food took 2 hours to get here. Nobody rang and to notify us that it would be much later.

Very good! Apart for the chicken balls to bernt and rubbery? But very good with everything else so 4 STARS.

Nice food and good choice, the salt and chilli chicken is amazing, but average of 2 hour wait is a bit much!

I have had at least six orders from Rubys Takeaway and have always enjoyed it. Vegetables are fresh and crunchy and chicken super tasty. Not greasy at all! Two freshly made mains with one portion of rice for £14 is good value.

Food fab , delivery times a joke , real shame!! Same excuse both times still cooking it despite ordering it over 2 hrs before , had to wait nearly 3 hrs tonight .. no more unless you sort it out
