The current team of doctors here are really excellent; they’re understanding, friendly and professional, and do their own research when needed. The doctors I have seen really listen and are happy to explore various options and don’t just throw meds at every problem! Between them they seem to have a wide range of specialised knowledge and experience which is certainly beneficial to the individuals they see. They’ve been able help me effectively manage my chronic health conditions and have restored my trust in general practitioners. The surgery itself has good accessibility for those with mobility problems; a lift which fits a wheelchair and 2-3 others, wheelchair accessible toilets, and a lowered counter at reception. There are plenty of chairs and you won’t need to walk to far in the centre without the option to sit. The consulting rooms, waiting room and corridors are of a good size and doctors are helpful with doors. The check-in screen has large letters, numbers and buttons for those with sight impairment. It is unclear whether they have a loop recorder to assist with hearing impairment but as it is a very modern surgery one would assume there is a high probability that this was installed during the build. The female receptionist is always helpful and sweet. Unfortunately the male receptionist tends to seem obstructive, rude, and makes false assumptions about people/ situations that he stubbornly sticks too. I’ve experienced this myself but I’ve also overheard him speaking down to people and making assumptions about their health when those people are being polite and genuine. He was also needlessly rude to a family member who went to collect my prescription. Perhaps some sensitivity training and a discussion about remaining within the boundaries of his role would be beneficial to the patients and vulnerable people he’s responsible for communicating with. I’ll not deduct a star because of him though as one persons actions shouldn’t reflect badly on the reputation on the surgery as a whole; this is a doctors surgery where one only needs to be vulnerable with the doctors or nurses, not the receptionist.

I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with the NHS over the years. This surgery has restored my faith in our health system. All doctors take time to listen to you, fast effienct service. All doctors and nurses are friendly and helpful. 5* service!

I have no issues with the Doctors and nurses at this practise as they all seem well qualified and are also very friendly and understanding. However the reception staff can be very rude and snide even when i use a calm voice. Just had a phone call with the male receptionist and i was told the doctor had tried calling me 3 times yesterday but my phone showed no missed calls apart from an 0800 number which was Scottish power, i am absolutely appalled at the way i was spoken to when all i was doing was asking about hay-fever medication. now i need to wait 5 days till anything can be sorted out while im here being badly affected by hay-fever because the doctor cant take a quick 5 min call with me.Again, doctors and nurses are well mannered, kind and friendly but on multiple occasions the receptionist staff have been rude and unwelcoming (in person and on the phone).

Customer service through the reception has greatly improved, this might be due to new staff (not sure). Heathecare staff doctors and nurses are all fantastic.4 star as it can be difficult to get the reception to answer the phone.

Very helpful staff. Always answer the phone these days and you get doctor's answering too. Helps with quick queries but their registration for the repeat prescriptions is diabolical

Struggle to get past the receptionists to get an appointment or they don't answer the phone. Also waited over half an hour every time I've had an appointment. Useless definitely changing my doctors surgery. Boy on reception also thinks he's higher up than a receptionist insisting I need to tell him why I want an app when it's personal.

i like all the doctors there and the reception staff who are always very nice, except the young boy who thinks he,s a doctor. he also talks to people like rubbish, i have experienced this on a number of times. i phone to order inhalers for a serious lung condition, he ceels the need to quiz me on what i have done with previos ones. he also decided not to put my inhaler prescription through as HE felt i was using to much for my asthma, which i have never had. he puts me off phoning.

Why did the doctor inform me on the phone to collect a sample kit ? & insisted on this.for my mum as the one that my mum had was not the one they still used & the doctor needed a sample with the new kit.I went up out of my way also I was too early so i had a bit of a wait.I collected the item my mother has now informed me both the kits are exactly the same.I have wasted a day & the doctor & staff have wasted their own time also.Let's just say that my mum & myself are a bit cheesed off " with the way we are getting treated by this practice. There is other things as well.I have no confidence in this doctor whatsoever.I would give this practice zeropoints but I never got this option online. One is too good in my opinion."

Just spoke to Lisa a receptionist about my family joining the practise I was overwhelmed with how polite she was how knowledgeable she was and how she took time with me to answer any of my questions (and there was a few ) about the surgery we will definitely be going to change to this surgery
