I learned to crochet at one of Frasers craft groups. Shelley is a fantastic teacher, very patient and knowledgeable. The friendliest shop you could want to visit, with a great selection of wool and advice on hand from the girls who work there. Always enjoy a visit and so grateful for my new hobby!

Frasers is my first and only stop for my crochet and knitting needs. Shelley and the ladies are always welcoming, friendly, and there to offer advice if needed on my latest make. A visit here always brightens my day, it’s like popping around to a friends house!

I recently completed a beginners cross stitch workshop run by Shelley and really enjoyed it. Shelley was very friendly and patient and is keen to make sure that you have an enjoyable, fun, learning experience. Over the 3 x 2 hour sessions she explained the whole process from how to start your project as well as tips and techniques, and is very encouraging and supportive. She also showed us examples of more advanced projects that we could progress onto in the future, but she isn’t pushy and isn’t trying to sell you extra things. It is a lovely shop with so many lovely craft products that are hard to resist though. Don’t be put off going along on your own either as the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend the workshop as a great way to start this new hobby. Thanks Shelley

I love visiting Frasers wool shop, I always get a warm welcome by Shelley and the ladies who work with her.Shelley always has time to discuss yarns, patterns. Shelley has endless patience teaching new skills to us beginners.I have joined a knit and natter held by Shelley and with encouragement from the lovely ladies I have met I come away inspired to try new crafts and enthusiasm for my next projects.

Always a friendly welcome from Shelley. There's a lovely range of squishy yarn, everything for your knitting and crochet fix, DMC threads, hundreds of buttons, and the new craft classes are informative and fun. Definitely worth a visit.

This wool shop is a little hidden treasure in Sunderland. The owner Shelley is a delight to deal with, she is incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing is too much bother. They have a great range of wool as well as lots of other craft items such as the DMC embroidery thread range. Shelley is currently busy expanding her range so there's something new to see almost every week and her new workshops are brilliant. If you enjoy your crafting a visit to Frasers is definitely recommended.

I’ve just completed a 4 week Crochet For Beginners course with Shelley. She is an amazing teacher - kind, funny, patient and very knowledgeable. She has managed where others have failed with me over the years and I have actually made something! I can’t recommend her enough. The class was brilliant fun and thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!

What a wonderful Aladdin’s Cave Shelley’s shop is! You can go to a big wool shop like Boyes and pay more (and hope that what you want is in stock), or you can come here instead, and be guaranteed that the prices are the best. Shelley makes sure that she keeps a vast variety of stock and you can be certain that what you want is there. Everyone is made to feel most welcome by Shelley and Anita, so don’t be in a rush when you visit, because you’ll be chatting about crafts for ages. They are both super talented and brilliant at giving advice, support and guidance, If you just want to visit for inspiration, you’ve come to the right place. Join the Facebook page, and you’ll get notice of opening times, special offers, new stock and details of upcoming classes. I’ve only discovered this place recently, but have been back several times. It’s a real gem!
