The four of us stopped here hungry & ready for lunch. We soon decided what we wanted - 4 Roast Beef dinners & placed our orders.Unfortunately the meals weren't brought out together & we had no choice but to begin our meals without our friends having their meals.After 5-10 mins, the other couple asked the bar staff where their meals were & shortly afterwards they appeared as we were just finishing ours.We didn't find why there was a delay, certainly there wasn't many people eating from what we saw.However I must say how very tasty the meals were with extra gravy.

We had lunch here today and must say it was one of the best we have had for pub grub , cask ale ,bt sports what a fantastic pub also the beer garden was lovely and it’s also dog friendly. Definitely will come back

Didnt realise it was a live music pub the floor in our room was bouncing till 11pm with a young child with us this wasnt ideal. Finally got some sleep just after 12am to be woke at 6am by a drunk trying to get in our room. There is no parking nearby its a bit of a faff to move any luggage about. Certainly not a place we would return to. Room was very dated with a lot of bodged repairs. Left early couldnt take any more

Me and my husband had a lovely meal here today he had the homemade pie with chips I had burger chips and onion rings it was first class best pie husband has ever tasted the chips were gorgeous,definitely will be going back when we're next there.

Where do I start…it’s like a throw back to the 90’s. If you’re going for a quiet sleep then this is not the place for you, it’s booming downstairs (Friday and Saturday) it’s like the DJ is in your room! To be fair I was pre warned by the staff. Music stops at 23:30 so it’s not the end of the world but it’s far from the beginning of it too! Rooms are very basic and a shared bathroom and toilet which is grim. If you’re on the lash and just need to rest your head then it’s ok I suppose, however if you’re looking for anything else from this place it’s limited…no breakfast… it is cheap though and there’s a reason for that!!

2 night stay, clean and comfortable room with the facilities you'd expect. Beer garden. Friendly local pointed out free parking areas outside/opposite pub. Aware no breakfast provision currently within pub, but very limited choice within the town to get eat-in breakfast before 9. Would stay again.

Lovely sunny beer garden. Food nicely cooked, the chips were delicious.Tastefully decorated, but could do with more comfortable seating. Will go back though to try more of the menu .
