So on checking in I was given the choice between a twin room on the first floor or a double room on the ground floor (but they are noisy because cars go past all night according to the staff). I took the double room with the stained carpet, the accessable shower room complete with mould on the tile ground and mouldy inch thick shower sealant. I think the duvet was a hollow fibre one... Or was that just hollow. The polar bear keeping me company in the almost tropical 14°C room where the heating didn't work wasn't happy either! Breakfast was plentyful but luke warm. Overall of ever there was a hotel that needed Alex Polizzi the hotel inspector then this is it. 4 Stars.... Not even toys are us stars. Sorry, can't recommend this one.

Long review:The staff really make this hotel. They can't do enough to help. The rooms really need work. The first room I stayed in 107, had a cracked toilet seat, broken hair dryer, the TV still worked but the backlight LEDs were showing through (meaning the TV is on its way out) making it hard to watch and the room smelled like chips (apparently 107 is right above the kitchens) overall decor is looking tired.Spoke to the reception staff, they gave me another room (120) which was better, but the TV was going the same way and the hairdryer didn't work with the same decor.Walking back on a night doesn't feel great, dark paths and away from the main city centre.Short review:Breakfasts are decent. The staff are friendly.Car parking is limited unless you park in the off site carparking.Rooms are tiredThere are better locations in Ipswich

Room was lovely and quiet with very hard working but polite staff checking me in and out and also same staff serving the food. Slight issue with no power to the room however I didn't notice it until the morning and it didn't impact on my stay and when reported the staff were keen to get someone to fix it immediately although that wasn't necessary.

Manager is extremely rude, put the phone down on me when ask for guest to be asked to stop shouting and screaming outside my window. Completely blanked me when I went down to reception leaving it to the young lady, totally unprofessional and ill will be taking this matter further, it’s costing me a lot of money to stay here whilst working! To be able to preform to my best I actually need to sleep!! Save your money and stay somewhere else! TV was broken in the first room we had, had to move to another room. If it’s down to me to sort out loud people out when breachinf the peace then I want paying for it rather than the manager being paid for nothing!

Spent 12 weeks in this hotel for work.It is a lovely friendly hotel. Decent rooms that are really comfortable. Food options are fairly limited when spending a long duration here. Staff 10/10, really welcoming and friendly. The limited issues I encountered were rectified really quickly.Sports shown on TV, the hotel also has a pool table and dart board, etc, in the lounge area.Ideally located near the football ground and train station. Thanks for making myself and my colleagues so welcome for the duration our stay. Keep up the amazing work.

Room smelt of the drains, my evening meal pizza was served with cold mushrooms straight out of the fridge on top. That said room was otherwise clean and the staff lovely.I reported the issues in checkout and they said they will sort them.

Lovely hotel and staff. Very cosy social area with a pool table, darts, shuffle board, and a vintage arcade machine.Rooms are spacious and a large TV (although difficult to use with limited channels). Lovely clean walk-in shower, and had a small gym near to the room.Only downside is parking is expensive, it would have worked out to £20 just to park for an overnight stay. Luckily, an NCP car park is nearby which was only £3.95 for 24 hours. Although, beware this is a very rough terrained car park with limited space.

Stayed here for two nights, rooms were nice and clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style with a good range of items. Overall, I had a good night's sleep, would use this hotel again.

It’s located right next to the Train Station, no more then a 4 mins walk. Hotel was better then what I expected. Rooms are modern and have all the amenities that one would expect. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. If I’d get to travel to Ipswich then I will definitely be staying here again.
