Really excellent lunch here. The beef ciabatta sandwich with chutney and salad a stand out. Rosemary fries were delicious too. Big selection of hot and cold drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. Very busy, but quick service.

Great farm shops/cafe. Food was good. Farm shops really nice as well. If I’m the area will visit again! Very dog friendly too.

Came on a Sunday morning, didn’t book a table but they were still able to accommodate us despite being busy. Food was incredible tasty, you could really tell all the produce was fresh and homegrown! The staff, in particular the manager were amazing, so friendly and added to the comfort this beautiful location provided. Can’t wait to come back!

Nicest chicken dinner I've had in a long time and fellow diners were just as complimentary about the roast beef and pork belly options. We were a large party and that seemed to cause the odd problem service wise with some things turning up that we hadn't ordered while the odd thing we had ordered didn't. But all got sorted out and everyone had a good time. Would recommend.

Edit: 09/12/23Came here today for #sundaylunch and I hate to say that it was a little disappointing. We had mentioned that we were vegetarian, when booking, as this is usually the first option that runs out.A little disappointed to be told they had run out... It was only 1.30pm. Thankfully the waitress went and asked and they made a couple more for us.We didn't have to wait too long for our mains, and after we had completed the parsnip / carrot swap we were ready to eat. The Wellington itself, squash and spinach, was cooked well but just lacked a little seasoning to make it perfect. The vegetables on my plate were cooked well, although I'm told the parsnips were a little over. The biggest let down was the accompanying cauliflower cheese. The sauce was rich, thick and full of cheese but, the cauliflower was rather under done. To the point I couldn't cut it with my knife... It was only a minor inconvenience, so we drizzled the cheese sauce over everything and left the cauliflower on the side.Dessert was a simple affair of a berry crumble for the Mr and an affogato for me - with some of the best decaff coffee I've had in a long time. We've been here quite a lot and sometimes it's a hit, others it's a miss... This would be somewhere in the middle.Original 5⭐ reviewI must have driven past the turn off for this farm shop a hundred times, but never even clicked it was there. He who must be obeyed suggested that it would be a good suggestion for lunch, so off we popped!I don't know how long the restaurant and all the other bits attached have been there, but it looks brand new. Clean and tidy when you drive up and a good amount of parking - nice touch to have accessible parking right by the entrance. We went in to the restaurant, we had booked in advance, and sat down. Staff are friendly and not in your face - bonus! We had the padron peppers and whipped goats cheese as shared starters and both were delicious. The ghosts cheese, with chunky slices of courgette, was fantastic.I opted for a moving mountain burger and his lordship had the staple from Naples pizza. Again, both were out of this world. The burger came with salted rosemary fries, which I could have eaten a bucket of! Pizza seemed to be ok, as it was wolfed down very quickly!A really great lunch in fantastic surroundings - even if it was a bit rainy. Highly recommend you try this gem if you are nearby.

Hartley Farm has become a regular place for me to meet up with my friends. There is plenty of parking, the staff are always welcoming and efficient and the food is delicious. My friends and I also love looking around the farm shop as there is always something we want to get from there!

We visited due to the great range of gluten free food available.Ordered breakfast (the farmhouse breakfast) and asked for scrambled eggs instead of fried and was told point blank no. This is the first restaurant/cafe EVER that I've been unable to swap fried for scrambled eggs..... Which is not great for a neurodivergent person who cannot cope with the texture of egg white.Rest of food was glorious and would have given 5* if they had considered a swap to something I could actually eat. Not inclusive in that respect!

Very helpful staff and delicious food. But the farm shop is the gem here - so much on offer, served in a traditional way - a butchery counter, fresh fruit and veg, and a wide range of dry goods and other groceries. There is also space for children to play while the adults relax. All in all, one of the modern farm shops which have adjusted so well to the demand for a different way of shopping for high quality goods at reasonable prices. Oh - and they have a great gift shp, too.

Great location, convenient place to stop if your out around this side of Bath.Food can be amazing, though had terrible service at lunch today...seated in the middle of the restaurant, nobody appeared to be covering our table. Eventually a waitress from another section was kind enough to take our order, food arrived quickly, but our plates were never cleared / we were not offered desert and had to go to the till to pay. Would be a bit hesitant to come back in the future.
