A great find for Bank Holiday. Superb food in an old pub, with excellent service. Dog friendly as well, use the courtyard entrance.

We had our wedding meal and reception at the Kings Head and Matt the landlord could not have been more helpful and/attentive from the get go. We originally wanted to hire the Anchor @ diglis but the landlord there was so unresponsive and rude, meeting Matt at the kings head was a breath of fresh air, he made our wedding day and party the best day of lives. We had over 100 guests and Matt and his team could not have been more helpful, polite and tried to help and grant our wishes and requests. The venue is gorgeous and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ll regularly be back. Our meal was from the pubs new restaurant menu and there was not one negative review of the food from over 45 guests who ate! We could not praise Matt and his team at the kings head enough! Top bloke and top friendly pub.

A nice pub with a good atmosphere and they offered a great non-alcoholic ale. Very friendly staff too!

Great menu.As always I'd gone to Worcester for cricket and picked here for tea. Never tried it before but I'm glad I have now. Will definitely go again.Surprisingly spacious bar with outdoor seating. Having Worcester as it's setting never hurts.

Nice looking place. Don't got very often only really once a month for a book club meet-up. Got plenty of seating inside and out. The prices are a bit overpriced for what they sell as nothing special.

The new owners have excelled themselves in every way. The inside and outside is now completely renovated which makes it very cosy and comfortable with a relaxed vibe; food is now served every day from 1200-2030 with a roast on Sundays. The food is absolutely great; a pub menu that makes you want to try everything with the right mixture of tradition and modernity, executed perfectly. The triple cooked chips are delicious. By far the best chips in the local area; we had these with our fresh haddock, curry sauce, and mushy peas - all of which was tasty, not greasy and left you very satisfied. 11/10We also tried the shin of beef pie with mashed potatoes. This too was a triumph. A real pie, not just a dish of brown mess with some cheap pasty on the top. This pie has flavour, was full of tender meat and the pastry wasn't greasy or too rich as can sometimes be the case! 10/10For a starter we had the gorgonzola croquettes with pickled walnuts. Lovely texture, delightfully salty, sweet, sour and with plenty of umami. 8/10All in all, I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes on their small but well thought out menu. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the portion size certainly makes food here a good deal. £3.5-7 a starter, £11-15 for a normal main. The aged steaks are more expensive. The service is relaxed and friendly and the wait time for food was not long. Total cost for our meal (1 starter and 2 mains with 2 drinks) £40.We have eaten at so many pubs in central Worcester and none of them come anywhere close to here.Thank you so much for the great food. I'll be back very soon to try the other tempting dishes you have on your menu!If I were to change a couple of things it would be; improve your drinks selection - more interesting local beers and a better selection of wine. Your food is so good it deserves a fitting beverage! :)

The place to be in summer, the beer garden is a sun trap, with beautiful views across the canal. Drinks are between £4 and £6 for draught and bottles that I've had, and the service is always spectacular.I have not had the food yet, but the menu is standard pub grub and I've eyed up a few plates coming out that I am definitely going to give a try out!

Great beer garden next to the canal and adjacent to The Commandery.Choice of Lagers, including Peroni and Estrella. It has Thatchers on draft and old moat cider in bottles.Ales were Wainwright Golden and Hobgoblin Ruby.Friendly staff who work hard.Looks nice and clean inside too.Well worth a visit when in Worcester.

This is a first for me and I was very impressed. The staff are so lovely. Lady came round to our table for drinks order. Excellent idea. As a female, I personally hate going to the bar. Nice touch. They also have food available until 9pm, unfortunately, we were too late. Loved the Christmas songs and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.

Went to a work do in upstairs room, would of been ok if on a couple of big tables but it was lots of little tables which was a shame.Vegi dish was very bland but others said their turkey ones were ok, quite slow service so food took ages.
