This review is for Blackpool Dacia/Renault and not any other Arnold Clark franchise. In the market for a second hand car and identified one in Blackpool Daica/Renault. Paid the reservation fee and got the video walk round. Quite pleased with it initially, and picked up some defects that required further investigation. Sales Rep did pick on them also and advised they looked worse on the video than in real life. However, the detailer was coming in and they would rectify most of them, some of them are age and stage of the car being 7yrs old.Opted for the click and collect option as we were going on holiday the day of the delivery. Collected the car and had a quick look around and it appeared fine. Upon return from holiday I decided to detail the car myself and noticed a number of issues that were not pick up own the pre/post sale inspection.Tear on passenger side seatN/S Wing Mirror not workingHeater hot/cold brokenChunk out of O/S/F tyreAuto Start/Stop not workingHill Assist Not workingThat was just mechanical issues, the body work was worse in real life than on the video that was sent. How 2 scratches on a roof can be deemed as age and stage of the car is beyond me. Chips on the body work looked as if they have been filled in with a black sharpie. I went back to the sales rep and highlighted the issues, who then went to his manager who's tact was to be defensive, aggressive, and heavy handed during our email exchange. Involving the likes of Customer Services to see where they stood in terms of returning the car. Bearing in mind, at no point did I advise this would be the case. Eventually the email correspondence ended with them saying return the car and we will give you a full refund as we won't be doing anything else. To be honest, that was not in anyone's best interests. If they had taken ownership of the cosmetic issues with the car, they wouldn't be receiving this on Google. After speaking with those higher up the chain my initial disappointment was rectified and an offer made which was accepted.I've had the car just over 16weeks and it's been back at my local Arnold Clark for the above issues to be rectified under the 60 day warranty, and quite rightly so!One issue that keeps cropping up and as of today it's been back 4 times to have the issue rectified. The heater box is faulty and consistently blowing cold air. Initially the rod behind the temp control was bent, so it got straightened, only to fail two days later. Further rework was carried out, only to fail a couple of weeks later. It's back in again for this issue to be rectified since Thursday last week and have been advised a new part is on order. So it will need to be booked in again to have the rework carried out, and once again I will be car-less. I have been advised this is an 8hr job and will take two days to complete. Blackpool have refused a hire at their expense, so need to wait three weeks for the courtesy car.Quite frankly, it's about time they woke up to their shortcomings. Ensure a thorough pre-sale inspection is carried out and not just a quick tick box, take on board what the customer is saying, rectify the issues once and for all rather than patch work, and if a customer is unhappy, don't talk over the the top of them when they are trying to explain the issue, don't be aggressive and defensive in your email correspondence, pick up the phone speak with the customer, listen and negotiate. When that happens it can some times prevent things like this review from happening. I will obviously get the obligatory response etc etc. However, it doesn’t rectify the inconvenience caused.

Really good experience! Was busy at the time we arrived, however Paul made some time spare to sit us down with a drink until he was available. Shown me a few cars with fully informing me if all the information needed. Walked away happy. Thank you very much for this experience will be shopping here again when I need a new car.
