Oxwich watersports

My son and I had a fantastic 2 hour jet ski safari at the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a great time. Oxwich is great and we will definitely be back again in the spring. The jet skis are so exhilarating. Definitely the best 2 hour full body workout!

If you are in the Oxwich area - you MUST hire Watersports!! Perfect location. I booked last minute late Saturday for the following day which was accommodated for (2 people). Staff were extremely helpful, patient and friendly upon arrival - being beginners on the paddle boards we needed reassurance and guidance. Experienced the jet ski safari too which was extraordinary along with the weather! Wet suits were definitely high quality which was also a bonus. I would highly recommend and will undoubtably be returning soon. Great quality experience.

We had a lovely hour out on the water in kayaks, exploring the coast and playing in the surf. The kayaks were ideal for beginners, open top and very stable. Just right for the kids. The limited range of wetsuits available meant one of our girls had a rather ill fitting suit so it's just as well we weren't planning to spend much time in the water.The setup is basic but functional, right on the beach. Staff got the job done but weren't terribly interested in helping or making sure we were competent or safe on the water.Overall, perfectly fine if you just want to grab some basic equipment and get on the water.

Had an amazing experience yesterday, booked in advance to avoid disappointment and Make things quicker. Once parked up, easy to find the cabin and check in. Booked for two hours which was a good duration, enough to have fun and get back on time. Beautiful views, can't wait to go again.

Ffantastig! First time kayaking despite being from Gower, and it didn't disappoint! We booked online a few days in advance (recommended!) for 2hrs on a Sunday morning. I looked up the weather/sea conditions in advance, but Oxwich Bay is pretty sheltered so is a good place for beginners. The staff were friendly, informative and safety oriented, and were pretty hands-off in their approach which meant we could get out on the water quickly. Once you get the safety briefing, kayak, paddle and buoyancy aid, and leave the required debit card as a deposit (safely stored by the team), off you go! The sit-on-top kayaks were very stable and maneuverable which is ideal for first-timers - but as a result are heavy so make sure you get help carrying it to the water. We followed the rugged rocky coastline to the right of the bay, before heading left across the water towards Tor Bay and following the beachfront back to the finish. You will definitely get wet feet and a soggy bum; so wear suitable clothing (gym/running clothes would do) and perhaps a towel/change of clothes - or just sit in the Welsh sunshine to dry off afterwards! The kayaks do not have a dry compartment, so to avoid phones / car keys getting wet either invest in waterproof pouches (we did and it was well worth it!) or leave securely with the watersports team. We had a great time and will definitely be back... now i've been bitten by the kayaking bug I'm even considering investing in my own!! £21 was a great price, but if you're not familiar with the area then be aware that the car park costs £6 and can get very busy during the summer so plan ahead to avoid missing your booked slot.

We've just got back from Oxwich Bay where we hired a sailing boat and paddle boards over two days from Oxwich Bay Watersports. The staff were really, really lovely. The sailing boat we hired was absolutely fantastic. After a few years not sailing it was great to be able to get on the water again. The boat is very stable so good for novices but has enough sail area to shift a bit in a wind too! The sailing area is large and very sheltered. Hire rates are very reasonable. We'll definitely be back. Thanks so much for enabling us to have a great weekend away!

Brilliant powerboat ride this afternoon with Jack. Thank you so much. We really enjoyed meeting you & thank you for making it so fun! Highlight of the trip was seeing a pod of dolphins! They came so close to the boat & provided us with much entertainment. Amazing. Highly recommend these guys. Best boat trip ever!

We've been on a jet ski safari for two years in a row with the team there. We felt safe and looked after, the team are incredibly friendly, and the jet skis are incredibly fun! It was also a great present to give tou boyfriend for the start of our holiday in this beautiful corner of Wales.

Drove a hour down to oxwich bay to do the paddle boarding. Had payed £35 in advance to do it. On arrival, had not brought my bank card due to only using Apple Pay on my phone. I was told that I was not allowed to do it unless I had a bank card. I offered my phone and car keys just so they could keep them them until I had finished with the paddle board. The staff were so rude and did not care due to them already being paid in advance. One blonde guy (who stated he was the manager) was very rude and aggressive. When I asked for a refund, he laughed and told me ‘not a chance’, absolute disgrace of a place and I would recommend you do not go to this place unless you want to be scammed. Lots of people had not brought their bank cards either and one of the staff even said get a bank card off someone else you know on the beach, just to use to hold. Even when I have emailed to try get a refund, the staff have the cheek to be rude and sarcy over email. Pathetic people.
