If you are tall, don't stay here. The beds are tiny. When I asked if they had any rooms with longer beds a staff member suggested, in all seriousness, that I put a chair at the end of the bed. Rooms aren't quiet, so you will be treated to doors slamming and hearing conversations of staff and other guests. Our room was clean but dated and tired, with stains on the carpet, certainly not what I expected from a place calling itself a Luxury Hotel".I brought these concerns to staff upon check out and simply got a shrug of the shoulders. Left here feeling disappointed and definitely over-charged."

This is not a luxury hotel. It is definitely a small hotel though. The website is extremely misleading. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite and there is no closet and the bathroom is extremely small. The jacuzzi room is probably why the bathroom is so small and no closet as it is huge. When we arrived the guy at the front desk only seemed concerned about what time we would like to eat breakfast the next day. Hello, we just arrived how do I know what time I want to eat breakfast? There is no elevator. We stayed in the building next door to the main reception. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a luxury experience. The UK king bed is a US Queen size bed. This is a huge disappointment. I would move hotels but we prepaid. I am grateful for the roof over my head and the clean room. It is in a nice part of town with several good restaurants and walking distance to the Royal Mile.

My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even with a bunch of problems being thrown their way out of their control. Our room was lovely, and breakfast was very good. Walking distance from many places.

This little hotel is absolutely fantastic. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. The room was a beautifully appointed townhouse room with lovely en-suite and complimentary L’Occitane toiletries. Its in a lovely quite part of the city, but easily accessible for all the sights, night life and restaurants.

This was our second time the first was much better... A few mod cons could be updated such as Bluetooth speaker and device connectivity/ability.There was no chef so no dinner and breakfast was only continental on one of the mornings...I know the potential but was underwhelmed considering the cost...

Not a luxury hotel. A luxury hotel would have AC—-even in Edinburgh. My bathroom was absurdly small, and my breakfast one morning took 40 minutes. Additionally, I came back after a long day to find that housekeeping had not closed my door the whole way. At check in, I asked for a late checkout, yet it was never entered into the system. Again, this is not a luxury hotel.

Hugely overpriced, it’s more of a bed and breakfast than a luxury hotel. Our room was in the basement, spacious but worn and miserable. Our outside seating area was filthy and unusable.Breakfast was just about acceptable, but not acceptable enough to have it on our second morning, we opted to eat out instead. The ‘hotel’ is in dire need of refurbishment and staff training, until that time it cannot carry on charging their current rates. We left feeling completely ripped-off.

Great hotel for my one night stay. Received a nice recommendation for my first night out in Edinburgh and had a great time.Everything was very clean. The walls are a bit thin but no other neighbour's made any noise so there is nothing to complaint about.

Not your typical hotel - more like a glorified bed and breakfast but with prices of a hotel 5 star hotel. It’s an old house turned into a hotel where the bedrooms were turned into rooms. The wee double room is very “wee” (tiny) not big enough for two people with medium suitcases. There is no a/c nor lifts so prepare to carry your luggage up the stairs. The warm reception we all want and expect is non existent - cold staff. Old TV with a remote that wouldn’t turn it on. Also lots of dust of top of the TV that makes you question the cleanliness overall. Breakfast was fine but there was clearly a flight between one of the servers and the chef and that is unacceptable. I had another reservation for this hotel but after my first experience, I canceled it.
