Horizon Cruise Terminal Southampton

Pretty decent place to start your holiday. Easy to find and the building was very clean with a lot of staff on hand to assist. Everything was well organised and staff were clear when giving advice and directions.

Some of the staff here were “nice” compared to others who treated you like second- class citizens. Same you can’t give a minus rating. Again whilst there was a few members of staff who were helpful, the large majority were very unhelpful, no one smiled and didn’t make it feel like you were about to go on a holiday. They were more than useless, when we arrived the man sat there and didn’t give us any hint of what carpark we were going to. When we found the carpark thanks to a helper who whilst he was helpful didn’t give us clear instructions, when we got to the carpark the woman on the gate was absolutely horrible. Have to say we were absolutely appalled by the service here and are not looking forward to our next trip here, shame it’s the only real main port in England or else we would not be going back here.

If I can give a minus star rating I would have. Got off my cruise early morning. Staff were extremely unhelpful and treated passengers like second class citizens. My elderly parents were not able to sit down and rest because the seats were reserved for people with visible disabilities, we weren’t even allowed to stop walking and rest for a bit and were rudely shouted at by port staff to “MOVE!”. Staff needs updated training on treating people with basic manners and respect as well as learning there are hidden disabilities and not all disabilities can be seen. Basic customer service would also not go amiss. I understand they need to crowd control and keep people moving to keep walkways clear, but there’s really no need to do so rudely.

It is very easy to park your car while you take your cruise. You simply park right outside the ship and walk to the terminal

102 Berth is the location of the place. It is not as visible at the other terminal and sometimes the directional sign to locate this the place is confusing but eventually you will be able to established the location. When you see the 6 storey high parking area just drive slowly and look towards the right you can see the entrance. If you can’t find the area, ask for direction, the team that is working in Southampton is very helpful.

A fairly new building, which is spacious, but with limited facilities. Hopefully, you don't spend too much time waiting to board, so this should not be an issue.The building is located right next to the Docking Gate 10 car park, which, if travelling by car, makes embarkation and disembarkation a fairly swift and easy process.

Treated like Cattle, most of the staff very rude and shouting at you to hurry, Get your cards out, Move along not in a polite way but like you are school children.Ocean cruise terminal is far, far better with polite helpful staff.We got on our ship very fast as we were some on the first on board 10am but the q's we could see from the ship were nothing short of horrendous.

Located directly behind our hotel. Port is beautiful and centrally located from all hotels. Walking distance, however, we chose to get a taxi for our cruise drop-off because of our luggages. Beautiful and cozy town with local sites, bars and restaurants walking distance from the port.

Great port and easy to navigate. Traffic can be extremely busy.

Terrible place to wait for a cruise ship. how fashionable to build a new terminal without internet? wi-fi is missing! It seems to be there, only you can’t download anything and constantly throws it out of the network, you also couldn’t use your Internet, because there is no coverage without a cellular booster. I do not advise you to come ahead of time, I recommend spending as much time as possible in a hotel or city. it's better to be the last to board the ship and not spend time in the terminal.
