Julia came to see my boy Jack today. We had major issues with his saddle that was adjusted for him only four months ago by another saddler but clearly didn’t fit him now and was making his back extremely sore .Julia and Izzy were knowledgeable as to which make of saddle would fit his very tricky shape. We tried on many and finally settled on a Bates GP.I rode Jack in it and felt incredibly secure and well balanced.Jack felt really comfortable and he flowed nicely. So I think we got his seal of approval.Thank you so much Julia for all your good advice and patience today.I’m looking forward to really moving forward with my riding and I’m sure Jack would love to say a big thank you to you both too.Chrissy xx

Massive thank you to Julia for coming out at short notice to find and fit a saddle on a new pony. She had 5 or 6 saddles in his size and we were all happy with the final selection. Thank you for making a stressful process hassle free and see you again.

Incredible service! Very lovely people who were so accommodating whilst I was looking for a new saddle and were able to come out the next day :) they very much met me half way and provided a great solution for my budget and challenging shaped mare! I would highly recommend.

I have used Penfolds for my last few saddle fits. Service is efficient and friendly. Quick replies to emails from either Izzy or Carys in the office - including a 6 monthly reminder (genius for me!). Julia knows horses very well and so is able to properly assess what is going on when you ride, ably assisted by Caitlin. Horse's back is measured on each visit. Would 100% recommend them

We had bought a new horse and her back was sore with a poor fitting saddle, having already had 2 physio sessions. Julia was very patient while i found other saddles to try before we eventually settled on 1 Julia luckily had in her van.The difference in the horse was immediate, she is so much happier and is already working hugely better in just 1 work session with her new well fitted saddle.My son can now look forward to competing a much happier horse.

Julia and Caitlin recently came to visit me from Penfolds and I couldn't be happier with the service I received! I have a Thoroughbred with a very tricky shaped back following his kissing spine surgery. I have been really struggling to find a saddle fitter to where I have gone away feeling confident. Julia was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to really understand my horse's needs, she took her time to look at the whole picture in how my horse was moving and how I was sitting. This truly felt like a consultation and at no point was I under any pressure to buy or felt ‘sold’ to. I highly recommend Penfolds to anyone looking for a top-notch experience and a happy, comfortable horse!

Penfolds came out to check the fit of my dressage saddle and for me to look at buying a GP saddle. They took their time and asked lots of questions about me and my horse, what we did etc, said my dressage saddle was not a bad fit and with a few alterations made it much better. They brought a good range of new and second hand GP saddles, tried a couple, but the one I liked best was second hand, there was no pressure to choose a new one, even though the one I chose they did do as a new saddle. Great service with a good selection of saddles.

I’ve used Penfolds for the past couple of years for fitting and supply of several saddles. Huge selection of used and new stock, great attention to fit for both horse and rider, great communication around appointments and delivery times. And no hard sell on new saddles, if they have something used and that’s the best fit and meets the brief, that is the one they recommend. Extremely happy with my most recently purchased Bates saddle

The experience I have received from initial contact upto and including my appointment has been amazing and very efficient. Julia listened to my concerns and assured me this was something that could be fixed. She explained the process and and what was happening all the way through appointment and made sure both Caramel and I were 100% happy. Would definitely highly recommend and will be rebooking as advised

Highly recommend Julia and Penfolds.She fitted 3 very different horses at our yard today.Julia is very knowledgeable and looks at the bigger picture when fitting - keeping both you and the horse in mind.All very happy with our saddle fit now and will definitely be calling Julia next time!
