Tyne Amateur Rowing Club

Went there today for the first time. Cycle friendly and very clean and comfortable with great views. Good coffee and tea and snacks etc. The staff member was very cheerful and friendly, well done to him.

We hired the rowing club from 2-4 to host a baby shower on Friday and had a fantastic time. We were able to access the space from 12pm in order to get the place decorated ready for guests and the mum to be. The staff were amazing - always popping in to make sure we were managing okay and allowing us to rejig the whole space exactly how we wanted.The only downside is the room can’t be separately completely due to fire hazard restrictions which is understandable but it does mean people in the bar area can see straight in to the space that we hired.Other than that, we were able to get some food ordered at the local Italians less than a 30second walk away to bring back for guests and the staff were on the bar throughout to sort everyone out with their drinks which were really reasonably priced.

Fantastic location on the bank of the Tyne.We couldn't believe it was dog friendly (dogs can go inside).Limited snack / lunch menu but our food was faultless and at amazing prices.Staff really helpful and friendlyThis will now be a regular refuelling stop on our circular walk from Wylam.

Love this place. We sometimes pop in on a Sunday when out for a walk for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. Staff are great.
