We first started attending Claire’s group classes with our energetic cockapoo Ozzy, and now we regularly attend her group walks. Claire is a fantastic trainer - she clearly knows dogs inside and out and is very quick to pick up on their problems and is able to come up with ways to work on these with the owner and dog. She is very friendly and is always non-judgemental about how she teaches owners. We love the group walks as we pick up such valuable training that we can take away to practice, but also gives Ozzy then chance to socialise in a controlled manner. We would highly recommend Claire at Dog Matters for dog training :)

Before we started using Claire, we were a little skeptical about sending the money on some extra training for our dog, but we needed someone to help us solve some behaviour problems before they got out of hand. Claire was recommended to us and she absolutely delivered. Not only has our Rosie's behaviour been improved significantly, but Claire took the time to create a connection with Rosie that means as soon as she sees her she is excited and always willing to learn!Additionally, Claire is an absolute legend and we've had great fun working with her, both in the group walks and through 1-to-1 training. Whilst being an absolute star and highly personable, she manages to make sure that the dogs remain the focus of the session, ensuring that we have always been over the moon with the quality of her service. Leaving a 5 star review probably isn't quite sufficient to show how satisfied we really are.

We approached Claire as we were having problems with Annie’s behaviour around cars/bikes/joggers etc! We were so impressed with her whole approach. She showed us techniques to gradually increase Annie’s confidence and develop her ability to cope with situations she found stressful. Throughout the process Claire encouraged and supported us. We are still working at it but the progress Annie has made is excellent so far and we know Claire is always just a call away when we need her.

Claire is a brilliant, kind, patient and friendly person, and an incredible behaviourist. Claire was recommended to us when we first got our puppy, and I was delighted that she already knew about (and loves) our rare breed. This has helped tailor the training sessions to our dog's nature. Claire has helped us with our dog's socialisation, recall, lead work, and confidence, especially in busy areas and around the car. She has really helped with building the relationship between us and our dog. The group walks have been in a fantastic mixture of locations, woodlands, parks, and towns, which has helped develop our dog's comfort in these different environments. Claire has most recently done a 1:1 session for us to teach us all the ways that we can help our dog be prepared for our new arrival, her little human sister, later this year. Claire also has a good network of useful contacts, which has been helpful in specialising our dog's training - e.g. in scentwork, and managing a medical issue. Claire gets the highest recommendation from us and our dog!

Claire is a hugely knowledgeable dog trainer who has a very professional and friendly manner. Her sessions are packed with advice which are followed up with a very detailed summary of the points covered and any progressions required to meet the desired goal.We have used her with two of our dogs and I could not recommend her highly enough.

Claire has completely changed our relationship with our Puppy. We felt at a loss with her at one point with guarding issues, however within one session she showed us how to rebuild the trust, and now 4 months on we have no issues with that and we have a beautiful dog. Not only does she change the behavior of your dog, shes like a human therapist!! She has really been there every step of the way for my partner and I. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Claire at Dog Matters has helped us tremendously with our beloved, but tricky Fox Red Labrador. She has a vast amount of experience and knowledge that she applies to many different scenarios, can read dogs very well and always has a practical solution which always helps.Claire is helping us navigate through our dog’s adolescence and has taught us a great deal. We always come away from our sessions with Claire feeling more positive. We have had 1 on 1 sessions which we find invaluable as well as the group walks and other classes which she holds.Claire tailors sessions to the needs of our dog and has a huge amount of patience and understanding with him (and us!)We’re so pleased to have found Claire, and we highly recommend working with her.

Claire has really helped us with our nervous whippet. She's shown us how to read her body language so that we can take better care of her, and how to make her more comfortable with people that she doesn't know. We covered loads in the sessions and it's already made a huge difference. I feel confident that we can go away and do the work so that Jess can grow into a happy and carefree dog.

Our whole experience of working with Claire has been wonderful. From the very start, she offered excellent advice and support when we were buying our Cockapoo puppy. Our first 1:1 session was on day 2 of having our new puppy and the information she offered was a huge help. Since then we have had a number of follow up sessions and each time the information has been exactly what we needed to help us through the early stages of puppyhood.Claire is professional, caring and kind. Her love of animals shines through everything she does. She also has an excellent way with children and really worked hard to find ways my 11 year old could take part in the training as well, so that everyone felt involved.I think she offers exceptional value for money, considering the amount of time and effort she puts into each client.I will continue to use her services as my puppy moves into adulthood and would highly recommend her to anyone.
