Tara Yoga Centre

I have such a fantastic experience at Tara. Both in general and in their marvellous events.I've studied tantra there for 2 years, (nearly 3), and never get bored - there's always something new to learn and the expansion of the classes over the year is progressive and appropriate to my level of awareness.Most recently I was at the Tantra Festival in May and was blown away by the breadth of activities on offer.The workshops, entertainment and food were all of sublime nature and done with the participants joy and well being upper most in mind.Workshops - the teachers and guest speakers brought experience, knowledge and sensitivity across a range of subjects.Artistic Performances - entertaining, uplifting and utterly out of this world.Food - the chef was a vegetarian / vegan genius. No more to be said.I highly recommend the Tara experience.

Tara Yoga is an amazing place. I cannot recommend it highly enough if you want to explore how to live a life with more love, connection and joy.

Sad sad sad…It took me some time, but I felt I had to and wanted to share my personal experience in this review.Initially, the school appeared to be a fantastic place with wonderful people, a strong sense of community, great teachers, and a comprehensive approach encompassing yoga practice and theory. It was everything I could have wished for as a new comer to spirituality, especially during a challenging time in my life when I was seeking for a safe place.I was a member of the school for three years, but throughout that time, I had a sense that things were too good to be entirely true. The classes gradually became more intense, workshops lacked clear boundaries, and certain aspects of the retreats and trainings were shocking, although I prefer not to delve into the specifics here.To summarise, I strongly advise anyone considering joining this school to thoroughly research both the school itself and its Greatest Master (ironically speaking).It saddens me that schools like this continue to exist. On the surface, they may appear rich in knowledge, but beneath it all, there are hidden secrets, if you know what I mean…I feel empathy for the vulnerable individuals, especially young girls, who enter the school and risk losing themselves in the process. I also carry a deep personal sadness for having trusted the school as I would my own family and in the end, I only find myself hurt and left without much support. It was disheartening to discover that the responsibility to protect myself was seemingly placed solely on my shoulders.Even after a year has passed, I continue to struggle with rebuilding trust in men and any teachings associated with Tantra.

Tara is a very special place. It's not just a yoga studio. It is a beautiful spiritual community, where you can learn about tantra and yoga, and achieve life-changing transformation in every aspect of your life through the teachings and interactions with the other members. Love is the fundamental cornerstone of this center, and you will experience it in every corner. ❤️

Tara is an oasis of esoteric spiritual knowledge amidst an ever more technological, dissociated society. Following the tradition of Hatha Yoga, this school offers a systematic path, a set of teachings to train and purify both the body and the mind to reach high states of consciousness and ultimately liberation, or yoga". Tara is a community of yoga practitioners devoted to an integral spiritual path that embraces life in all its forms and sees every mundane situation as an opportunity to transform. That the school is located in the centre of London is not by chance. Tantra is an incredibly fast and intense spiritual path and thus brings many challenges for the ego to those who embrace it. This school provides tools in many different forms to support its students in every stage of their path. Oh! And they are a non-profit! I've been studying there for 6 years and it has transformed my life and my heart."

I've been attending Tara Yoga Centre for 9 years. It's a beautiful place in the middle of the city - relaxed, friendly and peaceful. I love the combination of learning a subject and then, practising yoga. They also have lots of workshops, amazing festivals and great retreats. It has a beautiful community with lovely souls.

I've attended several classes, courses and retreats with Tara over the last 5 years. The teachings are the most valuable I've encountered and have profoundly transformed my life. The teachers themselves don't just share some information, they are able to transmit the teachings through their example. I met some of the most kind, generous, pure, truthful people I know here. I've attended a few Tara retreats over the years now, and they've all been magical. The final farewell meetings tell it all, with so many people sharing how they feel empowered, loved, and more confident, so many tearful farewells to newly made friends. The teachings are simple and yet profound. The environment is supportive, and many of us remarked how valuable it is to find a place to open our hearts and yet feel safe. Every event is optional and fully consent-based.The school teaches some traditional Tantra (which is quite different from Neotantra). As men we can learn how to embody genuine masculinity with consciousness and tenderness; to admire women with transfiguration, as an embodiment of the Divine feminine. We find out how transform our couple relationship with love, sensitivity and awareness.Highly recommended to anyone who is open-minded and curious.
