Peacock Inn Chelsworth
The ambiance was excellent as was the service. The food was excellent but the portion sizes were very small, which given the cost did not represent value for money. I have visited several times and have always been pleased but on this occasion the very small portion sizes of the main and sweet courses somewhat ruined the experience. If I have the same experience again any future visits will be in jeopardy.

Peacock Inn Chelsworth
My partner and I had a meal with friends at the Peacock and then stayed overnight at River Cottage which is available to book on their website - what a treat! The meal was first class and we were charmed by the staff, especially Jack who was an absolute delight with his sunny disposition and informed advice on food and wine choices. The cottage was wonderful - spacious, clean and very comfortable. Will certainly be returning in the future.

Fantastic weekend stay. A big thank you to Jack and his amazing staff, they are all a credit to the Peacock. Dog friendly, comfortable bed, spacious shower. Last but not least, the food. The Peacock is very lucky to have a truly amazing chef. The food was high end quality. The best food I have tasted and I travel frequently. Hope to see you all again soon. Keith & Kim

24 hours we had a great stay and a lovely breakfast wish we had time to stay longer and tired the lunch menu. Try the mocka you wont be sorry. Thank you. Steven and Andrea

We had a good quality set lunch with an excellent wine for £5 per glass. The meal was well presented and service was friendly and efficient. Lovely old pub in a beautiful Suffolk village.

A lovely unique Inn. Far beyond our expectations. We stayed in one of the larger outdoor rooms, and it has everything you could possibly need. Beautifully laid out, modern and vibrant but with a traditional feel. No mobile phone service which I thoroughly enjoyed although there is complimentary WiFi should anyone need to stay connected. Would highly recommend!

Even though we visited towards the end of food service, I would not expect the standard to drop as dramatically as it unfortunately did for us. The food came out near cold and as we were so hungry we ate it. We were offered the chance to correct, but as that would have meant an even further wait, we declined and settled for some hot gravy instead, but I was extremely put off by the state of the food in the first place, as I was lead to believe the quLity of food here was excellent. We were charged the same price as if everything had been amazing which was certainly not the case, so not sure we would return. It would have to be very good if we did.The staff were nice and the pub itself very characterful in a lovely setting, but a rather disappointing ending to an otherwise lovely day.
