Delighted with all the help and service I received from the office at Abram, Wigan. My main contact, Karen O'Connor, went out of her way to see that everything was dealt with promptly - even answering all my emails on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy also with the property - and at a reasonable price. Five stars from me.S Howarth

WORST SERVICE EVER FROM AN AGENCY / READ BEFORE USING THEMI have been registered with this agency online as I am looking for a house to rent in Wigan. And today I experienced the worst type of service EVER.I am 35 weeks pregnant with a toddler 22 months and currently leave 20 miles away from Wigan in almost Central Manchester.Firstly after countless calls this morning to book a viewing of a house that was uploaded online less than 12 hours ago, the calls keep going to voicemail, and I never received a call back. I sent two mails vie Rightmove when the advert the house, and still got no replies. I finally got through after so much trials and spoke to a lady called Daniela.And we finally agreed for 4:15pm for the viewing time. I clearly told her my situation and condition and told her I would absolutely do my best to be on time for the viewing as I was the second one after someone viewing at 4pm.I took all sort of transport: Bus, trains, taxis, spending almost £20+ to arrive there.I took a cab as i realised i will be 5-6 minutes away, when in fact the taxi driver told me later we were only 2 minutes away, I called the office to let Daniela know so that she could ask her colleague to bear with as i was literally few minutes away, and she asked me to hold on, which i did.Then she came back to me to tell me: awww the house has now been let and that the landlord is even there to close the door or whatever...I was extremely shocked and angry because THERE IS NO WAY a home would easily be LET so fast unless, you go to the office, pay for the holding fees and provide the documents the provided, which in this case was not even done, as her colleague was still on site, so was person viewing before me.I had to hang up as i needed to come out the cab to reduce the fare, as she clearly told me that so i don't even get to see the house.Secondly , 5 minutes after i came off the cab, I even injured my foot and was bleeding, with a toddler unsettled, I composed and calmed myself then tried calling back the office, and no answers till i got home and i am writing this review.Daniela did not even bother to call me back to apologise for the inconvenience, I was the one who called .Being this heavily pregnant, travelling 20 miles away with a toddler to do a viewing and to get this sort of treatment is UNACCEPTABLE.RUBBISH SERVICE

I was hesitant at first from the bad reviews, however I can categorically say they are unwarranted. This agency has been amazing. First time renter and they have literally answered and helped with every question (even the stupid ones) I have had 1 or 2 hiccups that were almost immediately solved, Karen in particular emailing me back with solutions regardless of time or day. Genuinely can’t think of a bad thing to say!

Can safely say these are the worst estate agents. If your looking to rent stay clear of them.. I was illegally left 5-11days with out smoke alarms.I was left having to deal with a gas leak when their emergency" number wouldn't answer then turned the phone off when I said gas leak..the house has mould

Left my mother with an actual HOLE in the ceiling. Despite several calls and emails it was only dealt with when next doors landlord rang to complain as it was affecting his property. The electrics didn't work upstairs. Toilet was leaking (which led to the hole). Had a terrible attitude over the phone. Literally didn't fix any of the problems. We realised something was wrong when paid deposit and their attitude completely changed as they asked for more and more before moving in with no way you could get the deposit back if you didn't move in. Took over a year to finally get her out of there. I don't understand how this agency is still running. It is poorly managed with terrible staff attitudes who attempt to shirk any responsibility leaving their tenants in houses that are unfit to live in.

0 stars , recently watched you playing the victim on slum landlords programme and reminded me of my money you scammed off me (a huge deposit) . Don’t know how your still in business . Terrible . Do NOT be fooled by them . The positive reviews will be fake ! There’s loads of dodgy stuff about them just look everywhere.

Landlords stay away from this company! You will lose your nerves, money and time if you choose this company. Extremely unprofessional. No knowledge about their job staff changes all the time. No background check on tenants. Horrible experience altogether.

Honestly this is the worse agency to get a property with. When it comes to maintenance they left me with a broken boiler, broken washing machine and fridge for 2 months. I lost a lot of money during this time. They only took action because I said I won’t pay rent.Now they are trying to hold my deposit. Wall stickers that can be removed in 5 mins and they don’t leave no marks. They are trying to take £250 of me and cleaning the bathrooms they are saying £150. Something I can go do myself in less than an hour but they are refusing because they want to keep the money.If you are looking to get a property please avoid getting one with Lobstar Lettings. The Caretaker of the building even advices me not to stay with them. The reason why I moved.

Shocking lettings agency, about as organised as a Liverpool title defence. Told them numerous times about numerous problems with my property e.g. mould, water coming in through the edge of the window and broken floorboards all of which, they did nothing about. They were not very helpful about any of the issues with the property, including the electricity and hot water cutting off. Would advise people to stay as far away from this agency as possible.

I am new to the renting market and have been let down by other estate/letting agents in the Wigan area informing me that properties were no longer available but still showing on zoopla/rightmove 2 weeks after my initial contact and promising to contact me when the property would come available but no response. I contacted Lobster about a property and they promised me an email with a video of the property and information which I received in 10 minutes.I have found the whole process of dealing with Lobster very easy and they have acted professionally with me especially Karen who has replied to emails I have sent at 8.30 at night within 10 minutes and answered any questions that I have had.I have read on numerous sites the feedback but from my experience I would recommend Lobster to anyone needing to rent a property. Professional, responsive and I certainly look forward to dealing with Lobster in the future. Thanks Karen you have been an absolute star in helping me get the property I wanted.
