my complaint is not against this branch, but it is vitally important for all union members & officials, to be aware of the complete contempt for the union rule-book & the founding principles of the trade union movement, displayed by the Birmingham & west midlands officials, in their treatment of a fellow union member & trade-unionist.Due to poor service from the unions law firm ( Tinsdills ) , I was forced to make an official complaint. Without viewing all evidence, or even interviewing me, union officials ruled against me. I initiated a rule 6 appeal, & against union rules, this was held behind my back, and a ruling made against me. I was only notified of the hearing, by email, two weeks after the event, thus denying me my democratic union right to attend, to provide my evidence & put my case to the branch committee, so much for trade union values ,of fairness & transparency.Because regional/sec, Joe Morgan, & branch/sec, Sharon Yates, had stated that there was no evidence of wrong-doing, I was forced to complain to the legal ombudsman, who upheld my complaint of poor service from the union legal firm ( ref no - 175405 ). Also , following my complaint, and providing evidence to support my allegations, Threebestrated.co.uk, after an investigation, removed the union law firm from their online site. Because these two officials failed in their duty, to support me , as a union member, I initiated a claim for constructive dismissal, through Acas, which was also successful. The plain fact is - clear evidence of poor service was offered, but Morgan & Yates, chose to ignore it, to spare themselves the embarrassment & humiliation of having to rebuke a member of their own legal team, it being an easier option, to close ranks on one of their own union members, and attempt to bury the complaint. As a result of this, I am making an official complaint of gross-misconduct against these two officials. Because they stone-walled me, I have been forced to commit the cardinal sin of having to attack my own trade union online.
