On the 11th November we decided to go to Watford Bridge Hotel for lunch and even though it was nearly midday they had a table for 2! On arrival we were sat at table in the bar which wasn't ideal and very cold ..the staff were very disorganised and seemed to lack leadership. I asked if the roast pork would include crackling, of course came the reply. When our meals arrived the man who brought them seemed very confused. Very disappointed, no crackling, not crispy potatoes and wS told the gravy made them soggy!? In the meantime 2 ladies on the next table were moved to the conservatory! The manageress did talk to us and offered a free dessert which we don't eat! Also free mints???!!! Offered a discount but my husband paid in full, we won't be back!ps I am a chef, now happily retired

Great central location. We stayed one night in this beautiful inn. Highly recommend the breakfast. We are vegan and they catered for us excellently. The service at breakfast was five star plus, attentive staff and excellent food.

I found the price good I relation to the room I booked, which was the garden room, it was big and spacious but there are a few small things they could do to improve the overall stay, like supplying hand towels and not just a bath sheet.A fridge in the room would be very handy as the rooms are big enough.We ate in the restaurant, service was a little slow and the seemed confused as to what was on offer from the menu.Breakfast was well cooked and tasty but again the staff need to tell guests how things run if your first visit, as there was no cereal, fruit and yogurt out for you to help yourself but it was on the menu. Tea and coffee pots would also be better to give to each table instead of having to ask for a coffee refil as the coffee cups were tea cups and very small.Over all the beds were comfy and the room was quite.

Lovely place, stopped by for a full English breakfast.. very good quality products, and the service was excellent.. my own personal preference.. which there was a little more on the plate for the price ! Otherwise great place

Restaurant review only - Not a great experience, the lady serving us clearly needs training. Drinks serviced warm with no ice. Server didn't seem to know what drinks were available. 3 kids drinks ordered with kids meals but 2 meals charged at adults price, adult pizzas were received, we thought at the time the size was odd. Realised when we got the bill, they did change it but with a few not nice comments from the lady at the bar, very unnecessary for your mistake. Food was OK, but won't return for comments made.

Lovely overnight stay! Check in was simple and friendly. We have a nice view of the river and we just enjoyed a lovely roast dinner in the restaurant. The outside space is great and very well kept. The best asset for this place is the staff! Everyone we have come into contact with has been a delight, which is so unusual considering they appear to have a lot of staff. Very friendly and chatty without being intrusive. We are checking out tomorrow after 1 night but would definitely stay again!

Had dinner here, apparently need to book even on a Monday. My steak pie was superb but my wife’s fish (as in and chips) was a miserably mean portion, about the size of a fish finger!Service was efficient and slick but the staff all had their faces superglued so they couldn’t smile.

Had nachos with beef chilli to share, delicious. My friend had liver & bacon which he thoroughly enjoyed. Sadly my Hunters chicken was dry but they took my comments on board & we had complimentary drinks
