Every time when I go London, this is the hotel where I stay. It’s nearby paddington station. Also Oxford street is 20 minutes walking. The breakfast is very good. I love the vibe! Simple, but all I need for my holidays.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would come back again.Pro:- good value for the price- close to Paddington station. The Lancaster Gate station however, is pretty much always closed so if you want to take the Central Line, you need to walk to Queensway station.- lovely breakfast, buffet style- friendly staff- clean room and bathroom. Slightly outdated bathroom but everything was functional.- room looks just like pictures.- has lifts. In the room there is hair dryer and a fan.Cons:- at night it is noisy from nearby restaurants/bars. Once we closed the window it is okay. But since the hotel doesn’t have AC, I think closing windows in the summer can be miserable.

Lancaster Hall Hotel in London offers compact rooms with a relatively new interior, though the bathrooms show signs of age with old furnishings. It's wise to avoid rooms near flags due to noise. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a notably small bed, despite our request for a larger one which wasn't possible due to full occupancy. The redeeming factor was the reasonably priced continental breakfast, highly recommended. The staff were helpful and cheerful. The hotel's location near Paddington Station and Hyde Park allowed for convenient walks, while the safe area boasted pleasant restaurants.

As a solo traveller this hotel met all my needs. Close to Paddington Station and a short walk to Lancaster Gate tube station if you need the Central Line (or a nice stroll in Kensington Gardens). Reception staff were friendly and efficient, finding me a room for a very early check-in. Room was fine, very quiet, clean and everything worked (although the desk" space for working on a laptop was very small and you had to move the kettle etc to make room). Nice continental breakfast - cheese

If you need a hotel and nothing more than this is for you. However I’m giving this hotel 2 stars because of the hospitality and lack of amenities. Upon arriving at Lancaster Hall Hotel to check we were greeted by the head receptionist who immediately was upset with us because we “were supposed to arrive yesterday and was going to have to charge us an extra night”.When we made the original booking we booked for extra night by accident. Months before, we had emailed to get it fixed, we were emailed back saying it was all set. But as mentioned above this was clearly not the case. This receptionist wouldn’t budge and said we “didn’t cancel the original booking” even though it was pretty clear we had. He was extremely irate and aggressive for something that was a mistake/ miscommunication on their end. After a long flight and jet lag the last thing we needed to hear was that we’re were being charged for an extra night because of their mistake. We ended up paying because the head receptionist was so angry we feared they would cancel our booking entirely. If you are booking with this hotel I highly recommend to double check your booking because if you communicate with them that you need something changed they’ll say it fine and charge you anyways once you arrive. As for the rooms, they were tight, beds were uncomfortable and it was too far away from central London. Although if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle and don’t mind everything I mentioned above, then maybe this is for you.

Great little hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Great breakfast buffet. Close to Paddington Station. The tubs are very high so watch your step as you get out of the shower as they do not have shower mats. They have drinks (soda, waters, beer and wine) and snacks for sale in the lobby that are very reasonably priced so you don't have to go out if you want a late night snack. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The main advantage is its close proximity to Paddington station - very walkable, even with luggage (if it has wheels). Convenient small shops and food just around the corner. Room was on the small side, but good for the price. Didn't interact much with staff, but they were friendly and helpful when I did.

Liked: The location was amazing and the staff was patient, helpful, and friendly.Disliked: I found the room was very old, which meant it didn't feel clean. The shower had a curtain which might be ok in your own home but for me, it's not ok in hotel rooms. Controlling the pressure and temperature of the shower was not intuitive at all. The sink was so old that the hot and cold water are separated so you can't get water at one normal" temperature. The walls are probably super thin as we could hear a baby in the next room crying ALL NIGHT (I'm not blaming the parents

The hotel is quiet, pretty clean and in a good location. But unfortunately a REALLY BAD THING happened to me! My wallet got stolen from the room!! Probably by the house keeping! The hotel provides a safe but not a key (they charge extra for it each day). We put a wallet and 2 passports there and conceal the safe with our clothes (as it is located in the closet). On the last day of out stay we noticed that the wallet was gone (looked everywhere, didn’t find it). Of course told the management. They said they’ll look into it but our hopes aren’t high. In the wallet was my 2 credit cards, student card, driver’s licenses and cash. The unpleasant experience left a very bad taste of the hotel with a stealing staff…Also, the breakfast was super basic. We stayed there for 8 nights and for 8 mornings we ate the same thing because there was no variety. Also, keep in mind that they have 2 separate and very small faucets in the sink for hot (which is very hot) water and cold (which is freezing) and u can’t mix the two.I would mind that all that much but the theft incident is what ruined everything.
