Dragon Taxis Newport

Used dragon taxis a lot over the past few weeks since breaking my ankle. I live slightly out of area (Cwmcarn) but that’s never an issue. Love that I can pay on Apple Pay and find the prices fair!

You have asked for feedback, so I will be honest. I rang to order a taxi for 10am., Told the person on reception that I had a very small dog. I was told to call back 20minutes before I wanted the taxi. When i rang back as told I was told to call back in 10 minutes. I then told the guy I was speaking to that if they didn't want my custom I would go to another taxi firm. He then booked the taxi. When the taxi arrived the driver was not told that she would be picking up a dog. He's a small dog and is a very well behaved dog in a car. I have to say that this attitude is not good for business!!

Ordered a taxi online for 15.20 for it not to show up. Missed my Theory test, therefore, wasted money which I paid upfront for the test. Dreadful service, very unprofessional. Will never use again and will make sure people know to avoid this company!

Can I just comment on how Newport have left us with minimal taxi companies to use because dragon have bought them out. And it’s always a rubbish experience. I booked a taxi this evening and the amount showing on the driver phone was £5.50 and when I paid via the link dragon had sent it was £6.00. After I had paid and noticed the difference I obviously questioned the difference with the driver. And his response was ‘it’s nothing to do with me you need to call dragon’ (I was slightly confused as this was a dragon taxi. )So I called the office while In the car and explained the taxi driver told me to call due to a discrepancy in the price. The operator told me there was a fee for paying via the app, which was detailed at the bottom while paying (fine I probably didn’t read it)The taxi driver then decided to raise his voice when the phone call ended and said ‘why did you say I said it was £5.50, I didn’t say that, it’s just what’s on the phone, now they are going to think I’m going against them and taking you a long way around or quoting you a different price etc’He became quite aggressive and rude!If there’s a difference in price of course I’m going to ask? He then said if you had asked me I would have told you there’s a charge for paying via card, but I’m not going to tell every customer that comes in my car that card transactions carry a fee. Also it’s not their job to ask wether we are paying cash or card?? How am I supposed to know to ask something I don’t know!!! ????Dragon Taxis the service was awful from the driver, though i understand and appreciate the card charge the way the driver handled it was appalling!

My little sister lost a pair of earphones in the taxi.Despite repeated chasing, the driver is never working when we call.No messages can be sent to the driver.I have yet to get a reply and no one can tell me where they are.No one can tell me when they are working. No one can call me when the driver is working.I have to call every day at different times and hope for the best.Putting in an enquiry online did nothing.I can only assume we are not getting the earphones back.Very disappointed and have to now console my sister who has lost their birthday gift.

Faultless from start to finish. Simple to book using the app. Taxi turned up for time booked. Very good price as well. I'll definitely use again and I have already pre-booked a couple more taxis. Highly recommended.

Excellent taxi service I booked via the App which was so easy to navigateCommunication for the booking was great every step of the way including a text message approximately 5 minutes before my taxi arrived(on time) with the name of the driver,car description and license plate number which was very reassuring as I was traveling alone.My driver Abdul(Mo) driver number 376 was fantastic he was professional and courteous but also friendly and chattyI would highly recommend Dragon Taxis!

Super service. Booked them for a poorly relative in the early hours of the morning for an emergency with no ambulances about. We were 2 1/2 hours away and they made it easy at a distance. They were polite, professional and followed directions perfectly. Great price too. Ace!!
