Glengarry Castle Hotel

What an absolutely beautiful place and experience Glengarry Castle Hotel is! The hotel is located in a large, quiet and serene private park on the shores of Loch Oich (with its own boat landing stage). Our room was super clean and extremely spacious and offered mesmerizing views onto the huge park and garden (incl. some lovely sheep) the lake and surrounding hills. The breakfast as well as dinner is being served in their cozy dinner room and offers a large variety of wonderful and delicious dishes (incl. lots of gluten-free options). The staff of the hotel as well in the restaurant was super friendly and attentive and made our stay an unforgettable experience! A big thank you to the family MacCallum for providing us with such a great stay at their magnificent castle hotel - we can definitely recommend staying here and will come back without hesitation if the opportunity arises again!

We had the recent pleasure of staying at Glengarry Castle Hotel in Invergarry. In our opinion it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we walked through the gigantic doors we were greeted with the warmth and hospitality of Scotland’s past. The staff at the hotel was exceptional, professional and friendly. The hotel itself is so charming -- the lobby, lounge and library exude elegance and sophistication of Scotland history. Our room was clean, spacious and tastefully, historically decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was bright and clean and a nice size. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed a walk to the Invergarry Castle ruins. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking panoramic view from our suite that overlooked the loch. It was simply mesmerizing and peaceful, especially during sunrise and sunset. The hotel’s lounge and library were the perfect spots to unwind with a nightcap in front of a roaring fire. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel multiple days and each were excellent and exceeded our expectations in both service, quality and deliciousness. During our stay we did day road trips from the hotel and we always looked forward to returning to relax in the lounge with a drink and reflect on our day’s adventures. If you are visiting the Invergarry area, we highly recommend Glengarry Castle Hotel for an unforgettable experience.

We had a lovely stay here - beautiful grounds, clean rooms and relatively modern for the age of the hotel. Beautiful grounds and ruins to walk on a lake, and lounge areas to sit and read. Good food at the restaurant as well. Would love to return.

There are so many great aspects to this place. I'll start with the driveway to the hotel, past the castle ruins through the grounds. Views from the hotel of the loch are beautiful. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very clean.There's more, this is a family run hotel and the staff are all friendly, professional with nothing being too much trouble.The hidden gem is the food, it was perfect every time, fantastic creations from the kitchen, with a daily changing menu. Loads of local produce, smoked salmon, smoked on site. All of the staff are a credit to the owners.Enjoy your stay.

Stunning place to stay. The room and public areas were beautiful, and every window looked out over the countryside. The whole place felt very like a Jane Austen novel. The staff were absolutely lovely, and well prepared for our arrival. Dinner was very good, and breakfast was also delicious. The grounds have several walks, including one along the river, tennis courts and two boats. The stay was well worth the expense, in my opinion. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area. Don't miss out on this gorgeous opportunity!

A unique experience to be staying at this castle. The car trip through the wilderness, the dinner with the view of Loch Oich and the beautifully decorated interior made our stay even more special.

The very old fashioned style hotel is surely not for the young, fast and furious. Mind you there are no evelators so you should be aware to walk up the stairs. Our room was well appointed to the loch and mountain view and a good sized four poster bed.. Bathrooms are refurbished and excellent. Dinner was nice but not top to notch. The service is attentive and friendly. Breakfast is served at the table and you have various choices.
