Hatton Shopping Village

Interesting place. Some nice craft stalls and a really nice stained glass workshop.The garden centre was similar to all others, nothing significantly different.The restaurant was a big let down in terms of decor and upkeep. The light fittings in particular needed cleaning,the covers were full of dead flies, some lights broken and not working. The overall feel was unclean. That being said the food was decent.The site in general could do with a revamp.

The garden centre had some good products and plants available at good rates. The boutique shops located within the perimeter were also interesting and had some nice items for sale. However, a lot of the units were either closed / appointment only or vacant, which left the place feeling a little abandoned.The cafe was nice and the staff were very pleasant. The kids also enjoy the rides and activities here.Having to pay for parking if you stay for more than one hour is a little harsh though, considering how much the average family spends here on a typical visit.

We visited on Wed 06/12 to do some Christmas shopping but were disappointed that most of the retail units are empty. Parking charges have been introduced using the RingGo app - currently £2 for the day (first hour is free). The Gardeners' Retreat cafe/restaurant is a nice place to meet up with friends. Not much else to say apart from it is such a shame that so many of the retail units are deserted as it is such a lovely location. Hope things improve in 2024.

Very disappointing. More empty units than shops. Looked untidy...outdoor seating areas not maintained, leaves everywhere. The place looked tired and unloved. The mass of temporary structures made the place look like, well, a mass of temporary structures. I have visited places with a warmer feel and vibe lately. Needs alot of love and smartening up.
