The Chop House Brasserie

Poor. Went for the 3 course early dinner. My starter of fish cake was okay, a little rubbery on the outside. Mains were disappointing. My husband went for haggis, neeps and tatties, which had a pitiful haggis:tattie ratio, like they were on rations. My burger was lukewarm. We ate it because we were hungry. Desserts were a somewhat redeeming factor, although a lack of non-dairy options meant husband had half of each instead. Service was weird. Took ages to even take our drinks order. Disappointing waste of 40 quid.

A very poor night out. In a table of ten there was several items wrong or missed out entirely in the table. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was badly overdone to the overcooked and dry level. In all honesty I would say it had been cooked and then reheated in a microwave. The chips tasted like frozen oven chips and one person had ordered a side of macaroni cheese which was so foul it was totally inedible.A disappointing evening indeed.
