We went here to attend a wedding reception. The service and food were all very good. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The gardens were particularly pretty for photos and there were great smoking and sitted outside area full of lovely flowers. We also noticed a lot of people having food in the bar. It smelled and looked really good. Will be back to try some one day.

Beautiful old pub with plenty of charm and Christmas Spirit met up with family for a really good lunch and a really decent price too especially as its Chrustmas most places hike their prices but not The Old Barn in Newport

I visited this place a couple of times for Sunday lunch. Both times had the same experience. Sunday roast is a 5/10. Beef is typically very chewy but the lamb seems of better quality. Vege provided is standard and lack season. Deserts both times have been absolutely terrible. Stale and securely not fresh. Overall it’s an okay place to visit for food if you can’t get in anywhere else and don’t fancy a desert.

We had a warm welcome and the rooms are comfortable. The only addition I would have liked was a reading light. The food was well cooked and when I asked if I could substitute veg for the chips, I was presented with huge, varied ad delicious salad. In the morning breakfast was individually prepared and arrived at the table freshly cooked hot and well presented. The staff were attentive and helpful. A very pleasing experience.

A really beautiful and tranquil place to stay. ALL staff were so accommodating. Had a bit of noise from the upstairs rooms and it was no trouble to get ours changed to prevent this. Couldn’t be more obliging. Special shout out to Geraint who was just so sweet. All in all the staff were amazing, focussed and so obliging.Rooms were clean and very comfortable.Would definitely recommend.

Just off the M4 and very convenient for travelling. Nice hotel with lovely outside seating area with a central pergola which would be good for wedding photos. The overhead light/fan was very welcome in the September heatwave of 30 degrees. Breakfast was good - unfortunately the local farmer had been muck spreading that morning and the smell was very pungent. All part of being in the country

Food (roast) pretty awful, like school dinners, cash and carry frozen roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding utterly rock hard. God knows what the gravy" was made of. Serving staff miserable. Such a pity as the location and decor very nice."

Staying at the Coastal Elegance Inn was a refined coastal experience. The inn's seaside location was both calming and invigorating. Our room was tastefully decorated, and we could hear the waves lapping against the shore from our window. The innkeepers were attentive and provided great tips for exploring the coastal town. A stay here is a true coastal retreat.

We did not have a pleasant experience the 2 nights we stayed. Rooms too hot, carpet needs a deep clean. During the day, external maintenance came in out of the room to access the attic, and we were not notified of this. We did report this to the manager, who was apologetic and took some money off the bill and also check on us the following morning. Breakfast portions were good, and service and staff were pleasant and excellent. I just wouldn't say it is a 4 star hotel.

Lovely setting and beautiful pub. Staff were pleasant. However food quality was average, paid extra for additional meat that was described as an 'extra' portion with a roast dinner (four slices), someone I was with had a single portion and also had four slices. Finally for dessert, someone ordered a sundae that was provided in a glass, disguising a plastic sleave that had whipped cream on to hide the edge. They're dressing up a existing items and charging a premium. One person had an apple crumble that was slung across the table without warning. Sausages and stuffing felt processed and poor quality
