The Secret Village
A wonderful environment for children to explore role play fun! Perfect for toddlers 18months + the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food available is quite limited and not the cheapest, but lovely. Own food and drink is allowed if you've got very particular children.

An excellent place with high quality play resources set out out in a range of units; Cafe, Vets, Shop, House and Stage with costume rail and celebrity mirrored dressing table for budding actors. This is well thought out and parents can either play with their children or sit and chat. My only reservation is the price of the refreshments on sale, which are the only foods you are allowed to consume. Perfect for parties. Lovely staff too and parking en- site.

Lots for little ones to play with, great selection of coffee and cakes. Have had a couple of issues in that twice when I have visited both my friend who drove us and myself have been shouted at by an older lady who seems to have something to do with the pet shop. She told us we couldn't park in the car park as the two spaces 'owned by Secret village where already taken and the rest where not for our use! I pointed out that there was no signage anywhere and got quite a bit of verbal abuse (infront of my children too!), she wouldn't give in until we moved the car. Another issue was that at the two birthday parties we attended the tables were squashed up against the wall which meant it was difficult to get the children in and out (small children so close supervision needed) Then my little one tucked into her buffet food, (which was all fresh, lovely and a great selection!) but momentarily choked. It was then I realised that the Blueberries where whole and she had managed to breathe one in! luckily no harm done but do think the staff need to maybe change that. Not really major issues and did really enjoy the place so would definately visit again.

Very poor compared to how it was. There are fewer toys for the children to play on. And it seems that everything at the cafe was more expensive and at £9 entry for 1 child and two adults, it certainly isnt cheap by comparison to the competition. There were fewer children present than i remember so word must be spreading!

We had our child's third birthday party at The Secret Village today and the team were amazing. Communication beforehand was great and on the day nothing was too much trouble. They catered really well for any dietary requirements and all of the children had an amazing time. I was also really grateful that they took the time to take photos when we sang happy birthday so that my partner and I could be involved. Thank you so much! We look forward to visiting again soon.
