Timpson

Firstly, the chap who was serving and working in the store was great. Professional and helpful.I dropped my standard watch in for a replacement battery after it gave up the ghost. I’ve rated this Timpson store 3* but I’d suspect the rating resembles any store. The cheapest price they offer for a replacement battery was £19+.I think that price is well over a fair price, granted I could have gone elsewhere had I known where to go or had spare opportunity. But that’s why I’m my opinion it’s a 3*

I thought the shop assistant was joking when he said they didn't polish brown shoes but no, of all the Timpson locations the one in the heart of the City doesn't do brown shoes... This Timpson shop is laughable and the shop assistant was rude to boot (pun completely intended).

Unfortunately I did not record the call with your colleague working here today. I called to say that I was around the corner at 17:55 and arrived at the shop at 17:57 (the shop closes at 18:00).I would not be writing this review if I didn’t think that the rudeness of his response required me to warn others.

Guy with braids super rude, poor customer service. Watch just needs new batteries yet telling me it costs +£60 for service yet took elsewhere and they replaced battery for £7 and it works fine now. Was also rude and un useful with client in front of me. No mask even though it’s a legal requirement. Avoid if you can.

Least helpful man in London. Happy to turn my business away.

Just had some keys done today.Not only do they charge £9 for a single key but also poor experience.The store manager asked me to come in 15mins and he could see me waiting out but didn't bother even tapping to let me know it was done.

Simply brilliant. Whether it is dry cleaning, repairs, shoe repairs, key cutting or whatever the Old Broad St store is first rate. I cannot recommend this enough.

I came in to repair a wallet that needed sewing and from the beginning the guy was rude and unhelpful. When I received the wallet back the stitch was untidy and quite frankly looked at though he couldn’t be bothered. Never going there again. £15 for a job I wish he didn’t do because he hadn’t explained properly what he was going to do to repair it. Not friendly. Didn’t do the job well.

So fast to help fix my shoes :) I will definitely come back to this store for other things! Thank you!

Unbelievably rude. Went to get a watch strap replaced and the man in the store was surly and acted as though I was wasting his time. I asked if he could quickly clean the watch when the strap was off and got six words - ‘dead skin cells, unhygienic, ten pounds’. When I went to collect it a few days later I apologised for losing the ticket. He said he would look for the watch later when he wasn’t busy. I explained I was going away for three months and asked him if he could please look for it. He literally huffed and said ‘it’s not difficult though is it’. After he found my watch in less than a minute I apologised for wasting his time and he repeated the same line about it not being difficult. An unpleasant experience.
