Jack in the Box Soft Play and Role Play

Came with our 4, 2 and 0 year old. Really great facilities - the soft play is new and everything works! Unusual but really appreciated. They have two great vacuum ball dispenser things that the kids lovedBut! The food is the most expensive I’ve seen in a soft play. I just paid £3.45 for a simply fruity drink and a paw patrol chocolate stick. They charge £5.55 for a jacket potato with no filling. I am used to london prices but this is a big turn off. I would rather pay more for entry if it’s a case of putting more money into upkeep - hidden costs do not allow for fair decision making by customers

I’ve been going here with my son since he was 6 months old (he’s now two and a half).The facilities are brilliant for all ages of children. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is brilliant. I had a cheeseburger and my son had fish fingers and it was restaurant quality food. It’s the best soft play I’ve found by far! I look forward to many more years of fun here.

First time visiting Jack on the box.Loved it, very clean and tidy, lots of play areas for different ages and the staff were friendly and polite!The prices are higher than the average soft play but definitely worth it. W will be visiting again!

We visited this soft play with two of our grandchildren aged 6 & 10. They loved it. We had to book in advance and the slots are 2.5 hours which is long enough. We were shown to a table and the staff were all very attentive, clearing tables promptly. Everywhere very clean. The food is reasonably priced and is well presented. Very well run facility. Well done to all involved.

My daughter visited last week with my grandson. He is a little shy but loved playing here as the areas are so large . Great assortment of areas. Construction site, Make up / dress up, ice-cream van ,Clean and tidy . Fun place for the kids . The staff are friendly and helpful.

We visited here today. We hadn't been for a few years. Last time we booked a birthday party which was very good. It is expensive, £10 per child an £3 an adult. There is now a role play area upstairs but that is booked online in time slots. I can't review that part as we didn't spend time in there as yet. The toilets were clean. The food is really nice, and you actually get crockery and metal knives and forks, unlike others soft plays. The chicken bites are amazing. Unfortunately they do not sell them as 1 portion serving. In fact they sell for around £1.80 per chicken bite!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Absolutely disgusted with the way we was treated the other day. I took my baby boy, & my Partners niece here the other day. I already been before previously & would’ve rated it a 5 star because of the lovely little baby area with the sensory lights. However this time I went I was well & truly disappointed. My Partners Niece ran in very excited she’s 4 years old never been to this soft play before. She went in ever so excited & was speechless. We waited at the reception part for 5 minutes before a staff member finally caught our eye & came over. We told him how many adults there was etc. Without looking at the screen he says “oh we are fully booked for today”. He then pretended to tap on the screen of the till & just said there was nothing he could do. We asked if there was a party or anything big happening. He said “no, we’re just full”. And started walking off. This was at around 2:30pm/3pm. The place was barley full! His manners were rude & absolutely disgusted with the way he treated us. There was more people the first time I went than this time I went so I didn’t see any issue of letting a 4 year old play & just 3 adults & a newborn baby sit down! We had a very very disappointed & upset 4 year old having to tell her we can’t come here & had to go elsewhere.

Booked online, which I think is essential. Cost us close to £15, that was for 2 adults and a 3yr to play for 3 hours. The junior play area is very big, our 3yr old was more than capable of playing on. The only thing was you really couldn't see them when their inside and we had to go looking for him after a while only to find him being cornered by 2 older children. After that he went on the toddler area. We had pizza and chips which was very nice.

Already loved the soft play area, but we went to the new role play area for the 9.30 session on the opening day and WOW. This place is fantastic. I love how interactive it was, the area is huge with so much to so. You'll definitely need to go a fair few times to get around all of the areas properly. The staff were all brilliant and friendly. They all took their time to speak to my 2 year old. Even myself and my MIL enjoyed it that much we forgot to get a coffee/cake

We have visited the soft play many times & always have a great time. Today was our first visit to the role play village upstairs & it is without a doubt my daughter’s new favourite place! The space is perfect for any imaginative pre-schooler with plenty of room & resources for everyone to play. Some of the favourites for us were the post office, building site & vets. The small cafe area is perfect to grab a drink whilst still being able to see into the play area & it was spotlessly clean. The range of role play areas & toys kept my daughter & I entertained for the full 90 minute slot & the staff were lovely too interacting with the children & parents creating a friendly & relaxed atmosphere. For just £10 for a weekday, term time slot this is one of the best value places we’ve visited lately & we can’t wait to come back again! Thanks to the staff for a fantastic, fun experience!
