James responded promptly to all requests for minor refinements, was available to answer questions and went beyond expectations to address the period of public mourning requirements over a weekend. The support videos are helpful but not really needed after the first few days as the wordpress admin area does not take long to understand. The admin area is all set up so that it is very easy for the clerk to update and add documents.

These are all things that Chilcompton Parish Council received from Parish Council Websites when we recently migrated to their design and hosting service.We had an old website, but it was very out of date, unstable and unattractive. The hosting platform was neither versatile nor friendly and we had very limited website design skills available. We decided to look into acquiring a bespoke solution and quickly found Parish Council Websites. The reviews looked promising so I contacted James at Parish Council Websites to ask for some examples of sites they had developed and also to get an idea of pricing. We needed full design, migration and hosting of a new site as well as support, education and new email userids. James immediately responded with around 10 sites out of many that they have developed so we saw what could be achieved for a very fair price. We noted that a great deal of customisation was available, but we decided to keep our to a fairly standard example. The migration went quickly and smoothly and we were able to make adjustments all along the way. We were very pleased to see that changes could be made easily and that items such as a detailed but standard privacy policy was included. We also appreciated the Accessibility features that were available - all items that were lacking in our old site.One thing that was critical was that our Parish Clerk’s email had to be migrated from an old system but again this was handled very professionally and in a friendly manner. Several of the other councillors also joined me on a detailed online education session with James which gave us a good grounding on how updates need to be made. Finally, the migration was completed on time and within the agreed price.James at Parish Councils Websites was really great to work with and it’s good to know that he’s always available for assistance and that our hosting is in good, safe and secure hands.
