Well stocked shop with model making kits materials and tools. Unfortunately the model railway dept is not open at the moment.

Poor customer service. Gent behind the counter was less than interested in providing answers that consisted of more than one word. Wouldn't recommend, it felt that we were an inconvenience walking into the shop.

From the second I walked in I instantly felt like I wasn’t welcome and the gentleman behind the counter made no interest to greet me, when I asked about the railway section I was simply told it was closed and he made it clear I was no longer welcome simply from mentioning it. After a few more minutes browsing at other items I wanted to enquire about I left as any question I asked was met with one word answers, not a welcoming place and I will not be returning.

Ok - ish when it was open. Got there this morning at 10:15 to be told by the owner ( son of the original owner who, I believe passed away last year) to be told that the shop has now ceased trading and his in the process of shutting up shop.

I made a 70 mile round trip specifically to visit this shop, only to find that the railway department was closed and the miserable man behind the counter was uninterested in making provision for myself or the other customers who came in wanting to visit the railway section, perhaps wanting to spend their hard earned cash. I can only assume that this shop is not actually keen on people spending money there - a bizarre business model indeed. Would not recommend.
