Lovely walk in the deer Wood (saw no deer) took about 1hr to do. The house is worth a look around. Unfortunately I didn't get round to doing the museum but saw there was a cider mill there.

Today came down again as we loved it when we came down in May this time we knew the layout but still got lost on one of the numerous walks was enjoying the walk so much forgot about the time as we wanted a cream tea in the restaurant. The restaurant closes at 16:00 hrs so was going to have to push ourselves as we was a long way away. We managed to get back at 15:50 hrs so was cutting it fine. A member of staff called Dawn was closing the umbrellas in the out door seating area when I asked was she still open she said yes and what could she help me with. Dawn came back into the restaurant and served me and my wife with a cream tea. Dawn was very polite cheerful and helpful after a very long walk the cream tea went down a treat. Dawn is a credit to the venue and considering it was nearly the end of her shift Dawn was very professional. With staff like Dawn that’s why we keep coming back. Also Came down in May Popped in to originally do the long walk round the grounds as numerous public footpaths cris cross the estate. Decided on arrival to visit the museum but the house is not dog friendly everywhere else is dog friendly but must be on a lead due to local wildlife. Really had a great day out. Museum was first class some of the carriages where unbelievable. Also had food at the venue the staff who we met at the cafe was first rate very polite and helpful service was excellent. This also made our day great day will definitely visit again when in Devon next year. The walled gardens and upkeep was first rate very tidy and very neat.

This place has the National Trust's carriage collection and there are plenty of walks round the estate.....so great place to take a dog...obviously no animals in the house but they didn't seem to mind in the cafe. If you like model sailing ships in glass cases this place is a must.

Each and every one of the staff were so pleasant and helpful. I have never experienced such courtesy or felt so welcome. The house and carriage museum was very informative all set in lovely grounds. Great little cafe. I was also able to hire a disability scooter for just £3... Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful place with amazing history! The grounds are stunning ti walk around and they have some brilliant trails that you can follow. The carriage museum is amazing to see so many old and restored carriages from over the country. Arlington court itself is stunning and very grand with good history. All staff/volunteers are so helpful and knowledgeable about the court. They are also very friendly and welcoming. I recommend visiting this gem if you have the chance!

Loads to see and do here! My favourite bit was the bat cave where you can control an infra red camera in the attic to see the 30 or so sleeping bats.Lawn games, nice wooded walks and a play area kept the kids happy. All the volunteers we spoke to were buzzing and helpful. Cafe was nice, good selection of cakes. As it was the start of the summer holidays there was a mog task to find mog around the estate. In the house there was also find the mouse. Will visit again as we couldn’t fit it all in.

Arlington Court is one of our favourite places to visit for a nice walk that isn't too long (or muddy) and that has a lovely tea room at the end for some well earned tea and cake. Arlington hits the spot on all of these criteria! The walks are on good paths and tracks that are well maintained (National Trust after all) and usually mud free. There are a few different trails and all are well sign posted. This being Devon there are some hills involved but the undulating nature of the terrain just adds to the photogenic nature of this place. You do need to pay to park and to enter the grounds officially" but there is also a side door you can use if you want to try to get in for free. I can't condone this kind of behaviour but hey

I ended up spending much more time here than I expected.Start with a cuppa and slice of cake in the Old Kitchen Café to energize you for one of walks around the grounds. They range from a mile and half jaunt around the lake to much longer treks through the extensive estate. There's a lot to see and do. If you have children, they'll love the lawn games; there's something for everyone in the wonderful carriages museum, and the gardens are delightful. The house itself is a gem, packed with eclectic collections, a literal treasure trove of things to discover.A wonderful day out.

The house is not big, but it's nice, we really had a lovely day the only draw back is that we had to pay for a parking ticket £4 for 3 hours. There is a nice tea room, you can side outside if you like, wide selection of light meals, drinks, cakes and fruits we had tea for 2 with cakes. Disabled parking next to the gate, there's a pick-up point for those who couldn't walk far. Disabled accessible entrance for those on wheelchairs or scooters. There are lots of walk paths. The volunteers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. We took lots of pictures and videos. I highly recommend everyone to visit if you are up that way or arrange your next stay caution that way.

Visited this lovely property during the fantastic sunny October weather and highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful with lots to see and a lot of green space for my 2yo to have a run round. She particularly loved the scarecrow festival and using the hobby horses outside of the carriage museum also.Lunch was lovely in the cafe as with most NT properties, but particularly appreciated the offering of a 1/2 jacket potato which is a fantastic options for the little ones.A huge thank you to the fantastic staff though who not only found my daughter’s hand knitted jumper which we managed to drop along the way, but packaged it up so nicely when we came to collect it with some lovely postcards and a badge, making my daughter’s day!Thank you so much, we will definitely visit in the future!
