Mount Stuart Hotel

Amazing location for the hotel (8 minute walk to beach) and is located close to city centre for easy access to various shops and restaurants and a very cute park located close. It is super clean with plenty of amenities. The bathroom was super clean, room for 4 was spacious with high ceilings and cozy decor. The service and staff was exceptional special thanks to Norie and her daughter Donna for their kindness and adaptability. The breakfast was cooked perfectly with meat and vegetarian options. Is located close to city centre for easy access to various shops and restaurants and a very cute park located close. Personally, I would consider this to be at least a 3-star hotel.

We stayed here for one night after reading mostly good reviews and were quite disappointed. The hotel is really run down and poorly maintained. There entire hotel including rooms are carpeted in filthy carpet covered in stains and runs. The room we stayed in had 5 metal single beds. The bathroom was truly disgusting and was not cleaned before we checked in. There was mold on the very thin shower curtain that barely kept water off the floor when showering, mold on the walls and you sort of felt dirtier after showering then before. Coffee machine provided in room. Staff were very friendly and a English breakfast is included but can't make up for the really terrible state of the hotel.

They slayed my friend slipped and broke his toe in the toilet. I hate that guy he was gone for a day five stars ☆☆☆

Great place to stay! Brilliant location and the rooms were clean and comfortable, although the main reason why we return to the hotel is due to Carl the manager. He is absolutely brilliant! Helpful, obliging and he cooks a mean breakfast! Will definitely return again providing he still works there.

Stayed here as part of a Stag weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are adequate for a stag group, some bigger than others. Basic facilities inside, tea coffee iron etc. Breakfast was included and good enough to fill ya belly in the morn. Lots of fresh juice, tea and coffee all included. Location is 5 min walk to the main High Street (very downhill, much harder coming up). Overall pleasant stay.

This is a great little Hotel, very good value for money specially due to the location. Within walking distance to the beach or the town center. Can't fault the breakfast or room accommodation, Hotels around the same location charge double price per rooms.

Over heard one customer say his kids got a rash from the bedding. My Bathroom didn't have privacy glass, curtains or blinds so everyone from the street could see inside the bathroom, shower was clogged on arrival and staff wouldn't sort it rendering the shower useless, keycard stopped working and no one was at reception at 7pmish for 40 mins to sort it even when ringing the bell several times so myself and several other customers were locked out for 40 mins. When the receptionist did appear, seemed not to care and looked as if he had just woken up. Saw some people cancel, seek a refund and stay somewhere else after this experience.

Perfect place for stag/hen parties. Ticks all the right boxes for a basic accommodation at a good price…. Lovely breakfast too. Carl on reception is a top bloke, don’t be disheartened if you think he’s being rude. He’s not. Consider it part of the experience and you’ll love him. He cares about the business and the guests, and I’d definitely come again.
