AMK Self Drive

Absolutely horrendous customer service from Kirkintilloch branch. Total of 16 weeks I had a small van out from 2 different branches and payments were daily at £260pw. This is a long period and tend to think they understand maybe some times payments are a litttle behind as operating at night shift hours. Receiving upto 6/7 missed calls, threatening voicemails and aggressive manner from the little old woman. Spoke to her this morning to say I have lost my bank cards is there anyway I can come in to the branch yes that’s fine she said to then find out an hour later when I look outside my van wasn’t there. They had collected my van but yet didn’t maybe think to mention on the phone call at first until I phoned back. She then went on to tell me because I’ve missed her phone calls which I always return. “YOU DONT SPEAK TO ME SO WHY SHOULD I SPEAK TO YOU” . You’re a fully grown woman and are acting like a 10 year old. Absolutely embarrassed. You came and collected the van which still has my personal stuff in and I have the key I suppose it would have made sense if you perphaps told me you were collecting the van and I could have collected my stuff and given you the key but just to be extra difficult you come collect the van and leave and now demand I come to Kirkintilloch. Shocking customer service. Thanks again have a great day.

Usually always use AMK as their prices are keen and the vans in good but not too good condition. What I mean is a few scratches and bumps are preferable to a brand new van. Well looked after and always clean.Staff are polite and helpful.They fill the tank to the brim and refuel it on your return. Might be a few pennies more per litre of diesel but I like the convenience.Fuel is taken from the £100 deposit and the balance returned to your card. Easy peasy.On the odd occasion I've been half an hour late with no drama or surcharge. Good family business.

Lady arranging the hire was superb, price great and van was much newer than I thought 70 plate... all dents and scratches logged, fueled up fully, clean and rarin to go.. thank you AMK.

Very professional...wanted a 4 hour hire was told I couldn't pre book phoned this morning at 9 and van was ready to pick up at 10 ..everything explained in lay man's terms ..highly recommend AMK

Last minute booking taken for 4hr hire used few times over the years various sizes of vans as experienced in the past friendly quick service decent price would recommend as friendly staff good quality vans for my use but do other vehicles as well

This company needs a push into the digital age.When most documents are now online and available in pdf format it surprises me when I can't submit proof of address to them via email and need to get a paper statement to do it.Conveniently located at the desk there's a notice for them to ask if you want a premium for windscreen cover or for theft, when these things are out of my reach to prevent.Not the best customer service.Van had no issues and it was very good drive.Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning to rent from here again.

Used the kirkintilloch branch on a number of occasions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recently hired a Luton van for the day, no problems.

Lovely staff. Great prices and selection of vans. Can't do much better when it comes to van hire. Vans were immaculate inside.

Easy and efficient way to rent a van. Staff were helpful when I asked their recommendation for what van size I needed. Best to phone up several days prior to ensure that they have a van of the right size available when you want it.Van was clean inside and out and ran smooth.
