A man with a plan!I have piles of books everywhere - and my single bookcase is overflowing. Ben Fearnside came up with a solution, making three attractive bookcases in my lounge, hall and loo. A perfect job and a lovely guy, I highly recommend him!

A loft conversion left us with a very odd shaped landing area. Ben helped us to maximise the use of this residual space, turning it into a walk-in wardrobe / office with a custom made office desk and a combined Tardis like wardrobe and chest of drawers. He even made excellent use of unused space at the end of a hallway by adding a bookcase. Ben's ingenuity, involvement and craftsmanship are second to none and we are extremely happy with his work. Ben has created a beautiful, bespoke set of bookshelves for me. Not only has his design solved a number of practical storage problems, he has made the most of a quite shallow alcove to create a storage solution that is both adaptable, versatile and visually stunning. The finished piece has completely transformed my living-room. To have all my treasured books attractively displayed in one place, instead of lost in piles round the house, is a joy!

Ben is AMAZING!! He built us this large tv cabinet / media unit which is absolutely stunning. His skill, attention to detail and accuracy are simply remarkable, and we are in awe of how easily he made a picture in our mind into a reality. We love this wonderful unit which completes our living room.On top of all this, Ben as a workman is kind, helpful, polite and was an absolute pleasure to have in our house during the fitting stage. We are already thinking of future projects so we can work with Ben again. We would 1,000,000% recommend him!

Ben rebuilt the dodgy steps up to our loft extension to make a proper staircase. I worried the steps shouldn't creak and they don't! Under-stair storage has a cubby-hole for the dogs to sleep, made to measure. Really pleased with the design, well built. Good price. Ben's very helpful and can-do.

Ben was brilliant in all aspects. I knew as I soon as I met him he was the man for the job. He's a true Mastercraftsmen and the attention to detail in his work is second to none. He built a custom desk/sideboard with shelves/cupboards underneath for my son's room. The finished product was amazing and I can't stress enough how happy I am with the quality of his work. Not only is he a great craftsmen but he's a great communicator and just a lovely guy to have around. He's already been back to custom fit and finish some floating oak shelves for my lounge and they turned out great also. He's coming back again to build me a custom oak TV/Entertainment unit in the lounge to match the shelves. To top it off he's also extremely competitive so using his services is a no-brainer. I'd thoroughly/highly recommend him for any custom furniture/wood related work. Great job Ben, thank you so much!

I highly recommend Ben. He has just fitted wardrobes and shelving in my daughters room, an excellent job, and more to come when we add a desk and possibly more shelving in the near future! It wasn’t an easy brief but we honed it down over a few discussions and Ben created a fitted yet flexible solution with adjustable shelves that totally maximised the space. Rather than finalise the final piece - adding the desk and shelves - Ben suggested we could do in two stages, so my daughter could see the designs in reality and then we could finalise the rest. To top it off he’s a lovely chap too!

Originally we asked Ben to create two bookcases for alcoves. I then realised that, if ever I moved, I couldn’t bring them so I changed my mind. Ben was incredibly adaptable and patient. We decided to create a stand alone piece. Ben quickly designed a piece of furniture to go with my piano. He takes great pride in his work. He kept the price down by giving me options. He was supportive in helping me make decisions and think of what I needed from the furniture. All in all, his pride for his work, his skills, and his delightful personality made this project a dream. If ever I needed anything in the future, I would call him. Not only that, but he was respectful to the fact that we are shielding and always wore a mask without grumbling.
