Why are you still booking only? With restrictions lifted and you only advise booking after arriving at the site. With no queue today I found the procedure totally out of date. We were a few minutes early for our allotted slot but were welcomed and informed of where to recycle/dispose after a quick inspection of the contents of our van. The staff throughout the site were helpful and accommodating. The whole experience was positive. We can only recommend with a five star review.

Booked online and we're given a day slot, turned up and the gate staff knew who we were via the booking scheme, very safe and some process. Waste areas are well signed and easy to access.

Think the booking system works well and the staff are usually helpful.however the site seems to be falling apart (crush machines not working, gantries roped off)and becoming badly organized. Cardboard and metal that used to be accessible from the raised roadway was on the lower level which ment having to carry a heavy load up stairs and then lift it over, staff refused to help so ended up at Swindon Road where there are less stairs and staff helped.

I made the mistake of not knowing you had to book. No mobile phone with me but I did have address Id, the extremely unhelpful staff can’t book you in on site even when site is virtually empty. That’s probably not their fault but what a totally dreadful policy this company runs, not focussed on their customers at all. Dreadful service.

The recycling centre is pretty good when it is accessible. I see, and understand, the other reviews of people who like the booking system as they dont have to wait. But for many people this is not good. I work, so being able to find time to go to the site is not easy. I cannot guarantee that I can make a time as work commitments take priority. If there is time at the weekend the slots are always fully booked. Plus, the booking system increases petrol use and is environmentally not the greatest idea. Stopping off whilst going somewhere (even with a wait) is more time efficient and has a lower CO2 impact than making a specific journey to the site. I'm not sure the council has thought this through. Perhaps having alternate booking days and turn up and queue days would provide the ideal service to their customers.

I think the booking system works well. Less people there which means the trip doesn't take as much time as before. No hefty queues. A tidy place considering. My only issue, you can only book one visit per day. If you've got a lot of stuff it makes it impossible to get rid all in one go.

Just witnessed one of the staff speaking to a member of the public with awful language, just because they couldn't lift something in their bin. Was shocked by the language and my wife honestly couldn't believe what she heard!!
