Anglesey Walking Holidays

We chose Anglesey Walking Holidays because they offer luggage transfer without booking accommodation. Everything worked out perfectly. Even picking up from more difficult accommodation was no problem. Thanks for the great food tips, Celine! Great recommendation!

1. Go to Wales. 2. Book a hiking tour with Anglesey Walking Holidays! Celine and Ady prepared the most wonderful tour for us to hike portions of the Wales coastal path on the magical island of Anglesey. This duo goes above and beyond personalizing the trip for each customer. For us (my husband and me), we realized after the first day that our original estimate for number of miles we could hike each day was too high, so Ady and Celine cheerfully readjusted all the remaining days—9 of them!—to suit our abilities and our interests (including 2 days ‘off’ from hiking). They would pick us up each morning with a smile and detailed information in hand for the walk that day. The coastal path is not always clearly marked on the path, so their placards with detailed information on where to turn or look for the sign or gate, landmarks, landscape, points of interest, toilets, etc. was a huge help (in contrast, the coastal path walk books are too vague). Often the walk included walking to the inn where we were staying that night, and our suitcases would be waiting for us, thanks to Celine and Ady. (They also book all the inns as part of the package, and make sure to book their clients in good rooms, often with a great view. Every inn stay also included a full breakfast.) They had to do extra work for us to adjust our route to what we could cover, and did it all with attention to detail and with cheerfulness. We also really appreciated Celine’s recommendations for restaurants at each little town we stayed in. On our departure day, we needed to book a taxi to get us from Menai Strait to Conwy on the mainland for the next part of our trip: Celine and Ady drove us to Conwy! Even after our official package tour with them was over, they sent us recommendations for the other places we were visiting. They truly customize; they treat each customer with completely individual attention to what kind of hiking trip suits them. I cannot imagine one could find the personalized service Celine and Ady offer with a bigger tour company. We fell in love with beautiful Wales, thanks in large part to Anglesey Walking Holidays!

We had a really good Anglesey coastal path trek via Anglesey Walking Holiday. We found the company really friendly and tailor made our trip to suit our needs. The logistical support was fantastic with pickups on time ( really valued in heavy rain !) and baggage transfer was always flawless. Eurwyn and Gillian were really friendly and full of local information . The supplied walking route guides were very helpful and local information sheets were really interesting.I would thoroughly recommend this company

From initial contact, booking and throughout the holiday, communication was excellent with clear and concise information, without being overloaded.Service was spot-on. Friendly and approachable. Flexible and accommodating making it easy and relaxing when I changed start and finish locations of some walks. Very knowledgeable and helpful about the whole route, giving excellent and relevant advice.Celine and Ady carefully check and select the accommodation on the island, and this was evident in the varied of good standard of accommodation that I stayed in. I had no issues whatsoever wherever I stayed.The transfers worked perfectly, I think good communication and good estimation on distance and times meant that we met-up within no longer than a 10 minute period which was excellent.Overall, really good value for money.

Celine and Ady arranged everything for my 12-day walking tour on the Anglesey Coastal Path, from accomodation to maps, a detailed roadbook with directions and descriptions of local sights, and lots of local recommendations. They even sent a list of the restaurants near my accomodations, with the information about opening days and times and whether it is recommended to reserve in advance.All the different accomodations were very comfortable, luggage transfer and pick-ups at the end of the day worked perfectly. If the path was affected by high tides, I got a message in the morning with tide tables and recommendation when to be at the critical spot at the latest.All in all I had a wonderful vacation, and a big part of it was due to their perfect perfect organisation and service. If I go on a walking tour in their area again, I will definitely book again with them.

Celine and Ady’s attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the coast path and Anglesey was unbeatable. Combined with their friendly and flexible approach and knowledge that they could be contacted at any time with queries and requests, made us feel fully supported as we walked our way around the island.
