Birnam Hotel

A good, solid 3 star hotel. Feels very much like being a guest in a guest room of someones home. Hotel seems to resemble some large houses in the area and adds to that feeling. A short walk into Dunkeld town or drive up to the A9.

Excellent stay. Friendly staff who made us so welcome. Beautiful, comfortable room. Great experience all round.

Our room was spacious, pleasant and comfortable. It is a beautiful Old house, turned hotel. It was very special to stay in such an authentic grandeur. Location was convenient and the Beatrice Potter garden across street was nice.Birnam Inn, the adjacent pub and restaurant next door, was a little anticlimactic. I was looking forward to a drink in a cozy atmosphere that matched the hotel. The dining room seemed pleasant from the doorway, but the tiny bar area had the atmosphere of a concession stand. The barkeep, who may very well be a nice gentleman, didn't really seem inspired to add any warmth to the experience.

Stayed while on a fishing trip, nice comfortable rooms, great value. Friendly staff, James the proprietor was particularly helpful making sure our needs were attended.

Quick overnight at this hotel while working. It’s old, but service was decent and breakfast ok. Just a decent place for a night.

Lovely visit in spacious room that was a little too cold and there were no extra covers and no heater. But I love this place for friendly helpful staff and cleanliness and genuine hospitality. Breakfast is fine but no greens to eat at all nor at Birnam Inn that is owned by hotel. You can eat a very mediocre dinner. Internet is fine.

Great location straight across from the station. Room was massive had everything we needed.I was surprised they didn't have a room for left luggage but they were happy for us to leave our bags behind reception.

We just love this hotel, the staircase is wonderful. We just love the feel of the place and all the amazing history
